Anyway, after 19 hours of live text from myself, Gary Rose and Marc Higginson we're all done.

You can continue the chat in Sportsday Live which will start again in just a few hours. Until then, good night/good morning...

It's been a massive summer outlay for Manchester United and Louis van Gaal.

His squad now almost leaves him no room for error or excuse. With such an array of talent he must surely have to deliver a top-four finish. Surely?

Man Utd

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao have all made reference to United being "the biggest club in the world." After a record summer outlay of almost £150m, now they have to prove it."

FALCAO SIGNS

Man Utd

Here's some more info on the news that Manchester United have signed Colombia striker Radamel Falcao.

They have signed him on a £6m season-long loan deal from Monaco.

Falcao had been linked during the summer with a move away from the French Ligue 1 side, whom he joined for £50m in May 2013.

The 28-year-old scored 11 goals in 20 league appearances for Monaco, and two in three games this season.

Ben: Ridiculous, two months to sign players, deadline shuts at 11pm, a two-hour extension to 1AM, yet the deal has been completed 30 minutes after the extension.

Chris, London: Surely £300,000+ per week is enough to buy a watch? It'll definitely buy goals though.

Aidan Williams: Make or break season now more than ever. Last time they can sign this kind of calibur without significant league improvement

Dave Scott: Falcao is no way an expensive luxury! He would be an asset to any team he's apart of!

Darren Bateman: No Heskey?

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal; "When a player of Radamel Falcao's calibre becomes available it's an opportunity not to be missed."

So Manchester United finally secure the signing of Radamel Falcao from Monaco. A cracking move? An expensive luxury? A player they didn't need?

Leicester sign Manchester United duo Nick Powell and Tom Lawrence. Powell has penned a season-long loan while Lawrence signs a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

I'm giving Manchester United until 2am. Then I'm going home.

Lee Marlowe: Surely a deadline is a deadline... at this rate they may as well lift the transfer window

Lee: The suspense is killing me... I've almost fallen asleep three times waiting for this Falcao deal but it's still the most awake I've felt all day.

Richard in Telford: Think Welbeck should have gone for 20m on potential alone and slightly concerned Van Gaal is so willing to cast of our young English players

Man Utd

Michael Keane is not the only Manchester United player to leave the club tonight - and he won't be the last. Two more exits set to be confirmed soon....

Louis van Gaal has had a total clearout of the youth team/reserves at Old Trafford hasn't he? Michael Keane is on his way. The 21-year-old was never going to break through at United and is off to the Clarets.

BreakingDONE DEAL

Burnley have signed Manchester United defender Michael Keane on loan.

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Manchester United have three-quarters of an hour to confirm Falcao's arrival earlier than they managed with Marouane Fellaini 12 months ago.

"On that occasion it was just after 2am that they announced the Belgian had signed from Everton for £27m."

Andy via text: £16m for an unprolific forward who has never played regularly as a centre forward could be considered as being a bit much. Manchester United look like they are the winners in this Danny Welbeck deal.

Eli in London via text: Sorry to see Danny Welbeck leave Manchester United, but deep down he'll always be a Red.

Martin in Stafford via text: Seems to me like Arsenal have got themselves a bargain. Danny Welbeck has masses of potential and if this deal turns out to be anything like the Daniel Sturridge move from Chelsea to Liverpool then Man United might just kick themselves for letting him go.

When I woke up this morning I do not think I would have imagined Danny Welbeck being an Arsenal player by the end of the day. That's the beauty of Transfer Deadline Day though.

Anderson - the great survivor of Old Trafford. He'll outstay Louis van Gaal you know...

Daniel Handley: How on earth do we end up letting Welbeck, Hernandez and Kagawa go and end up keeping Anderson, Fellaini and Young?

Pitmen Barmy Army: That's an start! One of the two, hurry up Falcao then I can go sleeeeppppp.

Chris Komorek: I will admit, I'm slightly concerned that Danny Welbeck will go on and do a Daniel Sturridge and star for Arsenal.

BreakingDONE DEAL

Arsenal

BBC

Arsene Wenger insisted he didn't need a striker but anyone who saw Yaya Sanogo toil at Leicester can tell you that's not the case. Danny Welbeck was not exactly prolific for Manchester United - scoring 29 goals in 142 appearances - but that's 29 more than Sanogo.

Pete in Greenwich via text: "All the people saying that Danny Welbeck is not worth the money need to realise he is exactly what Arsenal are looking for."

Arsenal confirm that Danny Welbeck is currently on international duty with England and will then join up with his new team-mates to prepare for the Premier League home match against Manchester City on Saturday, 13 September.

Tarun in Hoxton: Though he may not yet realise it, Alan Pardew should be informed that Hatem Ben Arfa's signature on Hull City headed letter paper will be his kiss of death. The boy Ben Arfa did not defend, but on his day he could stop the traffic at Old Trafford and make it rain in the Gallowgate. As a Newcastle fan, I hope that Steve Bruce makes Hatem dream again.

Pete in Newcastle: Ben Arfa deal has gone through and my heart is broken. I hope hull treat him better than we have in the last few months!

How would you line up?

Football Focus pundits Phil Neville and Danny Murphy have had a go at fitting all Manchester United's new signings into a team. What do you think?

Michael Carrick may need some new legs if Louis van Gaal goes with Phil Neville's suggestion...

Hatem Ben Arfa will stay with Hull until the end of the season. Good business in my book. Well done Steve Bruce.

BreakingDONE DEAL

Hull City

Hull City

Hull have finalised the loan signing of winger Hatem Ben Arfa from Newcastle.

What is gong on?

Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The so called 'deal sheet' allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.

The sheet cannot be used prior to 21:00 BST and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am to submit the full paperwork.

So technically Arsenal still have quarter of an hour to conclude the Danny Welbeck deal...

Simon in London: Biggest disappointment for me today is the lack of Ricardo Quaresma sightings. Pretty sure that guy is the most commonly 'spotted' player in the history of Transfer Deadline Day.

Karen MCR: Reading updates under bed sheets. In deep trouble if caught by my partner! Falcao you have a lot to answer for!
