Jamie Mills O'Brien: Now we know what Wigan fans felt like under Martinez. Delighted to draw at home to West Ham.

Ciaran Hammond: Wow I love the #facup 1-1 #lukaku! I twisted my knee celebrating but it was worth it.

Everton 1-1 West Ham

Rob from Newbury on text: Oh dear - now we will hear the increasingly bizarre Martinez waffle about the incredible performance and his truly exceptional team and how they are on course to win the cup, and make the top four. Face facts: he is a bad manager.

Manager reaction

Everton 1-1 West Ham

More from Everton boss Roberto Martinez: "First half we created the best opportunities and didn't take them. Then, we were open to conceding from set pieces. But the character we showed, when we're not in a great mood at the moment, was of a huge satisfaction. The replay was a huge reward and we look forward to that. The late equaliser could be a turning point."

'It'd be a crime if we lost'

Everton 1-1 West Ham

Everton manager Roberto Martinez on BT Sport: "It would have been a crime if we had been out of the cup. I feel very unfortunate not to be able to allow Romelu Lukaku's disallowed goal in a physical game. It is a normal contact.

"I am pleased with the character and the reaction we showed. We are low on confidence, but it was a phenomenal reaction and it could easily be a turning point."

'Pockets picked'

Everton 1-1 West Ham

More from West Ham boss Sam Allardyce: "We've had our pocket picked. We are disappointed to lose a goal in injury time. I'm satisfied with the overall effort of the players but if you don't punish your opponents when you have the chance it comes back to bite you. We're still in the hat for the fourth-round and now we will have to finish the job at home."

Manager reaction

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce on BT Sport: "We could have done an awful lot better. We got a bit desperate and instead of defending properly we let Bryan Oviedo in and he is very lucky with the cross. It ends up with Romelu Lukaku but we could have done better and defended like we've been defending.

"It is very disappointing when it is so late in the game. Had Enner Valencia put a free header in the net it would have clinched it and you would expect a player of his quality to do that.

"It is never an easy place to come but we were more than a match for Everton."

Everton 1-1 West Ham

Kevin Kilbane

BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton were a threat on the break in the first half but in the second half they weren't a threat out of possession. With David Moyes, pre-season was intense but you'd have spells during the season where you would have fitness days. Last season it looked like Roberto Martinez had taken the side on but there was no energy in the side in the final 20-30 minutes today. Even though they did score a late equaliser."

Ben, Everton fan: Happier to have got a last minute equaliser than I would have been with a winner in terms of the whole season. A big moment toward the turnaround in form and results we need.

Scunthorpe 2-2 Chesterfield

Paul Cook

Chesterfield boss Paul Cook: "It was a fantastic comeback and it was the least we deserved. It is hard to come back from 2-0 but it is never over and once you get one goal you've got a chance.

"Scunthorpe are a very good side and both of us want to go through and play Derby."

Attendance

Everton 0-1 West Ham

There's a few empty seats at Goodison tonight, but a crowd of 22,236 seems a decent effort for a cold midweek fixture.

CLOSE!

Scunthorpe 2-1 Chesterfield

"Everton need some help from the stands. They need the fans to get behind them. Everton's strength has been Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman getting forward, but Baines isn't playing today and we've seen very little from Coleman."

Colin in Lancashire: Unlike a lot of my fellow Evertonians I didn't get overly excited last season and I also didn't give Moyes any stick because I know how quick things can change in football and now while Moyes is getting wins over Barca we are looking like Wigan under Martinez, worrying times.

Is it too early for Bristol City to start making their plans for Wembley?

Fulham loanee Matt Smith scores four times to give them a 4-2 lead after the Johnstone's Paint Southern Area final first leg at Gillingham. If they finish the job at Ashton gate, they will play either Walsall or Preston at Wembley.

Time ticking down for Everton and they don't particularly look like breaching West Ham's rearguard. The Hammers look more dangerous on the break.

CLOSE!

Scunthorpe 2-1 Chesterfield

There was no way anyone other than Eoin Doyle was taking that spot-kick, despite several players from the away side showing an interest. And the 21-goal striker emphatically added to his incredible tally this season with a confident shot that flew past keeper Sam Slocombe. The pressure has been relentless and Doyle nearly just scored again from a Gary Roberts cross. A thrilling final 20 minutes awaits.

Everton 0-1 West Ham

Once again though, West Ham deal comfortably with the delivery. Into the last 15 minutes and the visitors look fairly comfortable. Into the final 10 minutes.
