Whitehawk make club history

Whitehawk 5-3 Lincoln

Sixth-tier Whitehawk reached round two for the first time as they beat Lincoln in an eight-goal thriller, despite Matt Rhead's hat-trick for the National League club.

Lincoln refused to give up and three times they pulled a goal back through Rhead, each time when they were two goals behind, but Sam Deering's stoppage time penalty eventually sealed Whitehawk's win.

Brackley fight back late on

Brackley 2-2 Newport

Brackley of National League North scored a dramatic late equaliser through Curtis McDonald's brilliant header to earn a replay against League Two Newport County.

Having trailed 2-0, the non-league side pulled one back with a Luke Graham header before McDonald completed the comeback in stoppage time.

Chesham stun the Gas

Ryan Blake's late strike stunned Bristol Rovers to send Southern League Premier Division side Chesham through and deservedly grab the headlines.

The part-timers had seen a penalty saved earlier on, before Blake won the tie with a powerful shot from distance, to knock out a side sitting 75 places above them in the football pyramid.

Read the report here.

So then, all 10 of Sunday's ties are complete. Let's round up today's action.

FT: Port Vale 1-1 Maidenhead

Joyous scenes in front of the away end at Vale Park, following Maidenhead's stoppage-time equaliser. Lots of hugs and jumping around.

Understandably, the Maidenhead players are fairly happy.

Their manager is Alan Devonshire - an FA Cup winner with West Ham in 1980.

Port Vale 1-1 Maidenhead

What drama at Vale Park. Maidenhead of the National League South have earned a replay against League One side Port Vale.

GOAL - Port Vale 1-1 Maidenhead

James Mulley

Amazing scenes at Vale Park.

The hosts half-cleared a set-piece and the ball ended up breaking for James Mulley to smash home a 94th-minute leveller.

A 22-goal thriller?

Sorry Bradford fans, you did not win 14-8 away at Aldershot today.

The Football Association's website may be telling us otherwise, but we can confirm that the match finished 0-0 and the teams will play a replay.

FA website

Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

Creeping towards full-time now and Port Vale are on top.

The League One side have managed the game well in these last few minutes and if they can just hold out for about three more then they will be in the next round.

FA Cup highlights

BBC Two, Sunday, 18:30 GMT

Crazy afternoon of #FACup action. Currently voicing the wins for @cheshamutdfc and @comeonyouhawks for FA Cup highlights. BBC 2 6.30pm.

Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

Still 1-0 to the hosts at Vale Park.

Maidenhead have put up a really good fight here and could yet earn themselves a replay.

A promising counter-attack is halted by the assistant's flag.

They were superheroes, every one of them. The boys soldiered on and did all the things we've been working on.

Paul SturrockYeovil Town manager on Final Score

Paul Sturrock's side had a man sent off in each half, defending for more than half an hour with just nine men, but held on to end their run of four straight defeats.

Post-match reaction

Brackley 2-2 Newport

We've got another chance at it now, so it's great for everybody. It is fantastic for everybody in the town to enjoy that fightback.

Kevin WilkinBrackley Town manager on Final Score

Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

Maidenhead waste a good chance to get the ball in the box as they kick a corner kick straight out of play.

Moments earlier, Louis Dodds headed just over for the hosts.

Into the last 15 here.

Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

The League One side have looked relatively comfortable this half but as long as they only lead by one goal then Maidenhead will feel they have a chance.

The non-leaguers are enjoying a bit more possession in the last few minutes.

Post-match reaction

FC Halifax 0-4 Wycombe

GA on BBC: "That's what we set out to do. It was a potential banana skin; there won't be any headlines for us but Sido's goal deserves one!"

Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth was a guest on Football Focus yesterday. He will be delighted that his side have come away with such a comprehensive win today and that Jombati goal is definitely worth a watch.

Sido Jombati's fantastic goal puts Wycombe two goals up at Halifax.

Highlight of the day?

Chesham missed a penalty but they still kept their heads about them and went on to win 1-0.

Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

The League One side still have the advantage at Vale Park.

Maidenhead are still in it though with about half an hour left on the clock.

Highlight of the day?

Kevin Kilbane

Ex-Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

There are a couple of highlights but I liked watching Whitehawk today. Five goals. Great, great story.

Chesham through to second round

No doubt about the shock of the day.

Southern League Premier Division side Chesham beating League Two Bristol Rovers.

An absolutely magnificent effort from Barry Hayles and co.

And it's certainly got you talking...

Latest: Port Vale 1-0 Maidenhead

Maidenhead shut up in the first 20 minutes, exactly what we were asking them to do. But if you keep giving a decent side like Port Vale opportunities, they will take one. Maidenhead though have had their chances, it should be 1-1.

Well we've had more shocks in the first round of the FA Cup, and plenty of goals to savour.

Bristol Rovers had over 5,000 at the game today - big support. They should not be going out of the FA Cup. This is a big shock.

Chesham knock Bristol Rovers out

FT: Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

Fabulous scenes at the Memorial Ground as the Southern League Premier Division side celebrate their famous win.

They had a great chance to elad in the first half but Pirates keeper Lee Nicholls saved Dave Pearce's penalty.

They were not to be denied though and Ryan Blake's low 25 yarder evaded Nicholls with 13 minutes to go and some fantastic saves from Shane Gore and brilliant last-ditch defending saw them see out six miunutes of injury-time.

Terrific effort from the non-league side and they head over to their delighted supporters to get the party started.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

That is it!

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

The ball just about goes out for a Chesham goalkick.

I think that might be it...

Braintree 1-1 Oxford

Brackley 2-2 Newport

Brackley v Newport

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

Chesham hack the ball away to the halfway line.

How long can be left now?!

Whitehawk 5-3 Lincoln

Whitehawk 5-3

Lincoln's Matt Rhead completed his hat-trick to make it 4-3, but Whitehawk are going through as Sam Deering converts a penalty.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

I have lost count of how many corners Bristol Rovers have had in the last five minutes.

This time the referee spots an infringement and gives a free-kick to Chesham.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

Another Bristol Rovers corner is cleared to relative safety.

Halifax 0-4 Wycombe

Aaron Holloway got a late fourth goal for Wycombe to secure a comfortable win.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Chesham

Still Bristol Rovers press and still Chesham hold on.

Goalkeeper Shane Gore is not a popular man with home fans as he kicks the ball out with two Chesham players down with cramp.
