A foil FA Cup in the bin

So that caps a fairly feverish hour or two of Fifa Ballon d'Or action and FA Cup ball drawing.

If you missed it, Lionel Messi is the world's best player again. No chance of him signing for Eastleigh but they could have a few more quid in the bank after being drawn to face Leeds IF the non-league side beat Bolton.

The full FA Cup draw can be seen by clicking here.

I hope you got who you wanted and your dreams aren't heading for the bin. For now though, it's goodnight.

Not a pretty game, and fair play to Dagenham they didn't make it easy for us but all that matters is where in the hat for next round #toffees

Everton edged past Dagenham 2-0 on Saturday and will be ball number 20 in the draw.

There's something about a cup draw. That moment of suspense which plays out with each passing ball drawn.

"We want a home draw" is a cliche older than time.

Then of course there's that plea to the heavens when one of the big boys gets drawn out in a home tie... "don't be us, don't be us," you cry as their opponents are picked out.

In this image, David Wiseman and R H Brough have just drawn Tottenham v Millwall in 1967.

No repeat this year, the Lions were booted out by Wycombe in round two.
