Thank you and good night

That is all for now. Be sure to come back to this very site tomorrow for a top-four extravaganza, starting with Arsenal v Leicester and followed by Man City v Tottenham (with a bit of Aston Villa v Liverpool in the middle). The live text commentary action kicks off at 10:00 GMT.

Bye.

Premier League table

At the bottom, Newcastle remain in the bottom three but are now just a point above north-east rivals Sunderland and have a much worse goal difference. Norwich gain a point on Swansea and Bournemouth, but they will be lamenting a chance lost to gain further ground...

Premier League table

No change in the top four, who all play tomorrow. But Southampton have gained ground on fifth-placed Manchester United. The gap between the two now is just a point...

Man of the match - James Ward-Prowse

Swansea 0-1 Southampton

Southampton's James Ward-Prowse provided the right-wing cross for Shane Long's winner and was excellent in midfield throughout, covering a match-high 12.39km at an average speed of 7.84km/h - only late substitute Charlie Austin could better that.

100 not out for Koeman

Swansea 0-1 Southampton

Today's win for Southampton also brought up a significant milestone for their boss Ronaldo Koeman. He is now 100 not out after bringing up a century of Premier League points as Saints manager.

Raise your bat Ronald, well done son.

Manager reaction - Francesco Guidolin

Swansea coach Francesco Guidolin told MOTD: "Southampton are a strong team in a good period. They played well, with enthusiasm and calm. It's difficult to score a goal against them at the moment. We had a few situations but we deserved only one point today."

Asked about Swansea's late penalty appeal for Yoshida's challenge on Paloschi, he said: "I don't like speaking about the referee because it's a difficult job."

Manager reaction - Ronald Koeman

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman told MOTD: "For sure, we are totally confident in our defence and we know we have the players who can create chances. It was a fantastic performance.

"It was a well deserved three points. We have a great run at the moment. It's a pity we have a break. But it looks like a great season again for us."

You shall not pass!

Manager reaction

Everton 0-1 West Brom

West Brom boss Tony Pulis: "Everton are a top four or five team. The depth of quality within the club is fantastic, they had a great performance to beat Stoke last week and to come here and put in that performance is fantastic.

"We played Everton at the beginning of the season and we were 2-0 up and they scored three late goals. We were distraught, so it is nice to come here and get one back on them."

Something for the weekend

Everton 0-1 West Brom

Great 3 points, enjoy your weekend baggies fans 🙌🏻 #boingboing

Manager reaction

Everton 0-1 West Brom

Everton boss Roberto Martinez: "We didn't do anything wrong. Their one shot on target ends up in the back of the net.

"The effort and the way that we play the game I couldn't fault. It is one of those moments in football sometimes that are difficult to explain."

"We have been very strong away from home and the points we have achieved is outstanding but we should base our success on making Goodison Park a fortress."

Misfiring Toffees

Everton 0-1 West Brom

Everton had 34 shots against West Brom without scoring. Six were on target (left), 13 were off target (middle) and 15 were blocked.

Frustrating Barkley

Everton 0-1 West Brom

Ross Barkley remains something of an enigma. His talent is clear for all to see, but he still struggles to produce on a consistent basis. He had more shots than any other single player in the match against West Brom (9), four of which were blocked, one hit the post and another pretty much hit the corner flag...

Manager reaction - Quique Sanchez Flores

Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford

"It is always important psychologically for players to win. You work hard every single week but you need to win to confirm the good feelings you have in the week.

"It is an important win for us, we are close to the target and we are happy with the performance of the players."

Manager reaction - Alan Pardew

Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford

On Watford penalty: "We have had situations where Scott Dann is dragged to the ground on regular occasions but nothing given, I am not going to say it was not holding, but to have it on the first corner at the first play was tough.

"We know we are on a tricky run and these things go against you on these runs. We just have to focus now and get out of this run. The league form is a bit of a worry and we just have to put it right.

"It is a 90 minute game and we wasted 45 minutes."

Souare loser

Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford

Just to make a bad day even worse, Pape Souare saw red late on for a crude two-footed challenge on Valon Behrami. The Senegalese looks like he can't believe it but there were not too many protests.

Jim McPhee: Troy Deeney for an England call-up! The guy's been brilliant this season. What a leader! A wonderful team player.

Rob Elmore: Surely Troy Deeney has to be in the squad for Euros? Please!!! He will probably still take Rooney & Walcott!

England looking good

So... Roy says England are "blessed" with the defenders they have to pick from, have the "strongest set of strikers" in Roy's time in the job and are "very happy" with their midfield. They might as well give us the Euro 2016 trophy now!

Man of the match - Dimitri Payet

Norwich 2-2 West Ham

BBC Sport's Mandeep Sanghera chose West Ham playmaker Dimitri Payet as his manof the match in his report.

Payet had a quiet game by his standards but came to life late on and scored a goal before providing the assist for Mark Noble to bag the equaliser. Nice way to celebrate signing a new long-term deal with the Hammers in the week.

Manager reaction

Norwich 2-2 West Ham

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic: "We are never happy with a point, we are not buzzing. But when that point comes after being 2-0 down it gives us confidence and satisfaction.

"After Tuesday night (the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Liverpool) when we played 120 minutes, to show that kind of strength, resilience, character and quality makes us happy.

"To be 2-0 down, all the guys deserve credit and especially the three from the bench who made a huge impact.

"The last half an hour we were brilliant. We showed the quality that we have."

Norwich manager Alex Neil

Norwich manager Alex Neil: "We created good opportunities and it was a better performance than we have had recently.

"But from 2-0 up at home and with the way the game was going we should have seen it out.

"We will take a lot from the performance but we are disappointed we let a lead slip."
