FULL-TIME

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Almost another for Daniel Sturridge as his latest strike is just wide.

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Jurgen Klopp is enjoying himself tonight. Just after watching Lucas shooting wide from 30 yards, he is roaring with laughter.

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Seven more minutes of misery for Everton as the fourth official's board goes up.

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Some of the away fans, perhaps understandably, are making a dart for the exits now as we approach the 90th minute.

Jordon Ibe forcing Joel Robles into a good save perhaps reinforces their decision. I can't remember the last time Everton got out of their half.

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Alberto Moreno lashes one over from distance as Liverpool stay on the hunt for a fifth. The way things are looking, I wouldn't be surprised if we get it.

SUBSTITUTION

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Liverpool are just toying with Everton now, with the visitors chasing shadows as the Reds play the ball about to the sound of oles.

The ball eventually goes out of play and Jurgen Klopp makes a change, taking off the brilliant James Milner for Jordon Ibe.

'Total shambles'

Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton's defence are just running around chasing the ball. It is like kids. James McCarthy has to try and get hold of the back four.

"It is such a poor night for Everton. A total shambles from Everton tonight. This could be five or six and James Milner has been outstanding."

GOAL - Liverpool 4-0 Everton

Philippe Coutinho

No surprises as Liverpool add a fourth. Philippe Coutinho takes a touch on the edge of the area before bending a shot in at the far post.

Roberto Martinez stands emotionless, arms folded. A terrible night for the Toffees boss.

Liverpool 3-0 Everton

A great ball by James Milner finds Joe Allen but the midfielder's shot is blocked. Joel Robles kicks the ball up field but Liverpool pick it up and again come forward.

Liverpool 3-0 Everton

Everton fans look distraught. There's a few with their head as in the hands, others are consoling friends. The players look just as demoralised as Liverpool come forward again.

This could be a long 20 minutes.

'Damage limitation exercise'

Liverpool 3-0 Everton

Former Everton midfielder Peter Reid on BBC Radio 5 live: "This game has gone for Everton. They are thinking about the FA Cup semi-final now. It is a damage limitation exercise. The performance has been disappointing from Everton."

SUBSTITUTION

Liverpool 3-0 Everton

Thirty five minutes to go and Jurgen Klopp gives Joe Allen the chance to stretch his legs as he replaces Roberto Firmino.

SUBSTITUTION

Liverpool 3-0 Everton

Ooof. After a defensive error, the last thing you want to see is your number go up on the fourth official's board. That's what happens to John Stones as he is immediately replaced by Steven Pienaar.

James McCarthy and Muhamed Besic in the centre of defence now for Everton.

Interesting...

GOAL - Liverpool 3-0 Everton

Daniel Sturridge

The perfect response by Liverpool after the disappointment of losing Divock Origi.

Poor defending by John Stones as his clearance is cut out by Lucas, who plays the ball forward Daniel Sturridge who makes no mistake.

SUBSTITUTION

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Ross Barkley doesn't want to go off, he wants to try and get his side back into this game but Roberto Martinez's decision has been made as Tom Cleverley is sent on in his place.

It doesn't matter if Liverpool win this 6-0, I don't think I can enjoy the rest of the match. Just as Origi had got going too. #bbcfootball

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

...James Milner sends the free-kick in deep but Everton sweep it up.

SUBSTITUTION

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

On comes Daniel Sturridge to replace Divock Origi and a free-kick for Liverpool now some 30 yards from goal...

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Great call from the linesman as he spotted the foul straight away. It looked relatively innocuous from a distance but replays show just how nasty a challenge it was. Hopefully not a broken ankle for Divock Origi, who is taken off on a stretcher.

RED CARD FOR EVERTON

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

We are not even five minutes into the second half and it has gone from bad to worse for Everton. A straight red for Ramiro Funes Mori as he challenges Divock Origi but stands on the striker's ankle. Nasty.

KICK-OFF

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

A change for Everton as the second half gets under way. Gareth Barry's record-equalling appearance turns out to be a forgettable one as he is replaced by Muhamed Besic.

A Martinez side that can't defend? Why are people surprised by this? Liverpool have it easy tonight #bbcfootball

'Slack marking'

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton deal with the first corner quite well but they don't deal with the second ball in. It is total slack marking again but it was a brilliant ball from James Milner and it was a free header.

"How one of Liverpool's best and most powerful players when it comes to heading is left free, I don't know?"

Magical Milner

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

11 - James Milner has recorded 11 assists in 2016 in all competitions, three more than any other PL player. Update.

HALF-TIME

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Mountain to climb for Everton.

GOAL - Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Mamadou Sakho

My word!

Disastrous stuff for Everton as they concede another so soon after the first. A lovely one-two in the build up as James Milner is sent away on the left. He clips the ball to the far post and the unmarked Mamadou Sakho heads home.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton

The camera cuts to Daniel Sturridge looking a little nonplussed on the Liverpool bench. At the end of the day, you can't keep a player in the form Origi is in out of the side. Five goals in his last five games.

Two added minutes.

Just a bit to easy. Been coming. And that boy Origi on a streak! #bbcfootball #LFCEFC

GOAL - Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Divock Origi

...the free-kick came to nothing but seconds later, Liverpool are ahead.

It's what they deserve but Everton will be kicking themselves at conceding this goal. James Milner is not closed down on the right and he is able to ping in a cross to the far post for Divock Origi, who rises effortlessly to nod in.

YELLOW CARD

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Everton's first booking of the game as Aaron Lennon clips James Milner's feet and the referee gives a free-kick on the right side of the area.

A chance for Liverpool...

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Not seen too much of Divock Origi tonight but he produces a lovely bit of footwork to get a shot off on goal. The end product is not the greatest, a scuffed effort into Joel Robles' hands, but lovely stuff to create the chance as he first brushes off Bryan Ovideo, wriggles past another Everton player before having a go at goal.

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Some poor decision making from the Everton players at times as Romelu Lukaku attempts an ambition cross-field pass, finds only a red shirt, before Bryan Oviedo does likewise seconds later.

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Everton's defenders should pat Joel Robles on the back. He is the only thing keeping this 0-0 at the moment.

Roberto Firmino escapes the offside trap to chase a ball over the defence and, after racing into the area, he tries to tuck a shot beyond Robles' right but the Everton keeper sticks out a boot to poke away.

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori has not started the game well for Everton. He looks a bit disorganised at the moment."

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Next up to try his luck for Liverpool is Philippe Countinho, but he drives a free-kick through the wall and wide of Joel Robles' near post.

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Kevin Kilbane

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"Everton are playing more on the counter-attack. You don't normally see them play this way as they are soaking up the pressure.

"They don't look as open with Gareth Barry and James McCarthy in midfield and, with Kevin Mirallas, have someone who can carry the ball forward."

CLOSE!

Liverpool 0-0 Everton

So close for Liverpool! Nathaniel Clyne drills in a cross from the right. It has the power and is at the perfect height for Adam Lallana, but he powers his header inches wide.

On the touchline, Jurgen Klopp stands, fists clenched ready to celebrate, before dropping his head once he sees the ball fizz wide. He knows that was close.
