Leicester 2-0 Burnley

It's been a tough old afternoon for Burnley and they have been chasing shadows this half with the Premier League champions dominating all over the pitch.

Leicester 2-0 Burnley

Leicester have been really impressive since scoring their second.

Burnley have done well to keep the score to two but they simply can't get the ball for any period of time.

Leicester 2-0 Burnley

Three chances in quick succession for Leicester.

Riyad Mahrez fires over via a deflection and he has a shot blocked on the following corner before Christian Fuchs also shoots wide after a nick off a Burnley defender.

The Foxes are really playing like champions and you'd have to fancy them to score more if they keep this up.

Not a bad home debut for Islam Slimani.

No changes at the break and Burnley striker Andre Gray gets us back under way.

So far so good for Slimani

Slimani scores his first goal for Leicester. He's buzzing!

8 - Islam Slimani has scored eight headed goals in league competition in 2016 (seven for Sporting Lisbon, one for Leicester City). Leap.

It's been a pretty decent showing from the £29m man so far...

Leicester 1-0 Burnley

Islam Slimani's goal is the last action of the half.

The Algerian, making his Premier League debut, had looked lively and capped off his first 45 minutes of English football with a thumping header from a Christian Fuchs free-kick.

Burnley have been competitive throughout but a Steven Defour header, straight at Ron-Robert Zieler, aside they have created precious little.

He should have scored and he knows it.

Marc Albrighton releases Jamie Vardy through the middle and he tees up Islam Slimani but his shot is straight at Burnley keeper Tom Heaton.

All gone a bit flat since that moment of brilliance from Riyad Mahrez.

Plenty of industry but both teams cancelling each other out. At the moment.

He's on his own as Sean Dyche starts with a five-man midfield and so far he's been very isolated.

Leicester 0-0 Burnley

This is the first I've seen of Islam Slimani in a Leicester City shirt.

The Algerian is putting in a lot of work for his side in these opening exchanges and his physical presence will give the Burnley defence something to contend with.

He tries to link up with striker partner Jamie Vardy but it's blocked for a throw.
