FULL-TIME - Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

And that's it. Adam Smith was cleaned up and seemed OK and Bournemouth fully deserved that victory thanks to Junior Stanislas' first-half belter.

As for Everton, that's successive defeats following the EFL Cup loss to Norwich.

Thanks for joining us. You can follow the reaction to all the Saturday football here and the developing match report is here but goodbye for now.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

This is surely only delaying the final whistle... seven minutes of added time played. Bournemouth scored in the 98th minute last season...

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

A free-kick for Everton - it gets flicked on but Ashley Williams can't turn it towards goal.

Bournemouth's Adam Smith has blood pouring from his face after Williams' elbow struck him in the face. Totally accidental but that's really nasty. Claret everywhere.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

A long punt forward from Everton but it's cleared. Eddie Howe is anxious on the touchline.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Into the fourth minute of stoppage time and if Everton conjure an equaliser it will be very, very fortunate.

Second best in all areas today.

A huge cheer all around the ground when Harry Arter is announced as the sponsors' man of the match. The midfielder, who cost £5,000 from non-League side Woking, has covered every blade of grass, been a driving force all afternoon and nearly found the net from distance himself.

INJURY TIME

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Five minutes added on...

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Yannick Bolasie swings over an excellent cross but substitute Enner Valencia can't connect properly. It bounces off his knee and goes wide.

Meanwhile Benik Afobe replaces Callum Wilson for Bournemouth.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

The ball is down the Everton end. Can the visitors get something out of this? Looking unlikely.

YELLOW CARD

Andrew Surman into the book for bringing down Phil Jagielka as Everton threatened a counter-attack.

SUBSTITUTION

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

The final Everton change - Idrissa Gueye off and replaced by on-loan striker Enner Valencia.

Seamus Coleman is then guilty of a foul throw. It's been that kind of afternoon for Everton.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Remember there were four goals from the 80th minute in this fixture last season.

Plenty could still happen. Everton are the team on the offensive now as Bournemouth drop back to protect their lead.

SUBSTITUTION

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton finally threaten. Ashley Williams takes the aerial route to find Yannick Bolasie but his cross is headed clear.

Bolasie then has a shot from 20 yards after some patient build-up play but is too high.

Meanwhile, that's enough for Jack Wilshere who is replaced by former Everton man Dan Gosling.

SUBSTITUTION

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Bournemouth winger Max Gradel comes on for Jordon Ibe, who was excellent - particularly in the first half.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Ross Barkley not having one of his better afternoons but he's far from alone in that among those wearing blue.

Bournemouth are being allowed plenty of time to knock the ball out. It feels very comfortable but the lead is still only one goal.

Boruc shines for Cherries

Mark Mitchener

BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

He hasn't been called upon much today, but Cherries keeper Artur Boruc has shone out - literally - when required.

Not only did he make a crucial save from Romelu Lukaku early on, and did well to tip away Gerard Deulofeu's tantalising cross just now - the big Pole is wearing one of the brightest goalkeeping shirts in the history of football.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

This is better from Everton. Gerard Deulofeu's attempt at a corner is poor but he gets a second go and this time the delivery is delicious - keeper Artur Boruc is able to palm it away from danger.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Harry Arter has a shot for Bournemouth but it goes well wide.

The pace of the game has slowed but Everton are not really threatening an equaliser. The Ross Barkley header a few minutes ago being a very rare attack.

SUBSTITUTION

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Another change for ineffective Everton - Gerard Deulofeu coming on for Kevin Mirallas.

YELLOW CARD

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

A third yellow card for a late challenge - Bryan Oviedo bringing down Bournemouth's Adam Smith.

The free-kick goes behind for a Bournemouth corner but Everton are able to clear.

Ross Barkley heads wide on a rare attack for Everton and manager Roanld Koeman has made his first change - Gareth Barry is replaced by Tom Cleverley.

Bicycle kicks aren't the usual province of the average central defender, but Steve Cook has form here. He scored with one in a 2-2 draw at Ipswich in 2014, then saw a spectacular effort brilliantly saved by Watford keeper Heurelho Gomes here last season.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Bournemouth back on the offensive and a cheeky backheel from Junior Stanislas releases Adam Smith down the right.

They can't make anything of it but look to have re-established the control they enjoyed in the first half.

Steve Cook also has a go with an overhead kick but can't properly connect.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

So what have Everton got in this second half?

Some nice one-touch passing to start with but they are forced to go back to keeper Maarten Stekelenburg as Bournemouth press them back.

A foul on Kevin Mirallas gives the Toffees a free-kick in Cherries territory but it's cleared.

KICK-OFF

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

No changes for either side and Everton's Ross Barkley gets the second half going...

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Mark Mitchener

BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

Warm applause greets Bournemouth at the interval as Eddie Howe's side walk in with a not undeserved 1-0 lead, having troubled Everton all afternoon with their pace and movement - and the visitors' frustration showed, not only when Idrissa Gueye was booked for a late challenge

The Cherries have not look totally assured defending set-pieces - which is when Everton have looked at their most dangerous - but have played at a high tempo and kept working for each other, exemplified when Jack Wilshere earned a big roar for a block tackle in stoppage time.

Action areas
BBC Sport/Opta

The action areas are fairly even but the possession stats are not.

Ronald Koeman is usually fairly impassive on the touchline but he must be animated in the away dressing room.

For Eddie Howe, it's surely a case of "same again, lads".

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

A seriously impressive half from Bournemouth, who totally dominated after the first 10 minutes.

Harry Arter and Jordon Ibe have stood out for the home side, while Junior Stanislas' goal was a thing of beauty.

For Everton, Romelu Lukaku was very close to giving them an early lead with a downward header but he hasn't been a factor otherwise.

The Toffees have been given a good chasing. What can Ronald Koeman say and do at half-time to get his side into this game?

HALF-TIME

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Finally, relief for Everton...

INJURY TIME

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Harry Arter has been excellent for Bournemouth and could have had a goal of his own before Junior Stanislas struck.

The Cherries bossing the midfield. Bossing everywhere, in fact.

Two minutes added on...

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Mark Mitchener

BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

Everton boss Ronald Koeman was in charge of Southampton when Bournemouth beat their south coast neighbours here in March. That day, the home side dominated enough for Koeman to make a substitution, and change formation, within 35 minutes.

He's not done that today but has cut a frustrated figure in the technical area as the Toffees - who could top the table tonight if they win and Manchester City slip up - have not lived up to their pre-match billing.

YELLOW CARD

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Half-time can't come quickly enough for Everton boss Ronald Koeman and his players.

They've only been behind for two minutes in the league so far this season (until today) but are lucky to be only 1-0 down here.

The Toffees come forward and Charlie Daniels brings down Yannick Bolasie. Another yellow card from referee Robert Madley.

Everton win a corner from the resulting free-kick but it goes over everybody.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton's Yannick Bolasie has the ball by the right touchline but he is harassed and hustled out of it by three Bournemouth players.

The Cherries are relentless and the visitors are rattled.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

On the left wing Jordon Ibe is giving Seamus Coleman plenty to think about. He wins a corner off the Everton right-back - Phil Jagielka mistimes his attempt to head it clear but the Toffees captain gets away with it.

Superb from Bournemouth so far. 1-0 the least they deserve.

YELLOW CARD

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton's Idrissa Gueye is the first player into the book - he's late on Harry Arter and the card is fully deserved.

Frustration building amongst the men in blue.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton's Yannick Bolasie has been a peripheral figure so far but is able to send over cross into the area. Bournemouth have difficulty clearing it but the Toffees are unable to take advantage.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton looking to stop regain a foothold and Gareth Barry lets fly from about 30 yards. He's scored twice already this season but not this time - Artur Boruc tips it over comfortably enough.

Nothing doing from the corner.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Mark Mitchener

BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

It was Junior Stanislas who broke Everton's hearts here last season - and the former Burnley winger has the Cherries faithful on their feet with that spectacular opener.

Had Bournemouth's radar been more attuned, they could be several goals to the good by now. The pace of Callum Wilson and Jordon Ibe is seriously worrying the Everton back line - Wales captain Ashley Williams in particular has his hands full coping with Wilson.

Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Bournemouth looking for another and Simon Francis has a pop from wide right and 30 yards out. High, wide and not very handsome.

File that one away under optimistic.

GOAL - Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Junior Stanislas

He scored two in this fixture last season - including the 98th-minute equaliser - and Junior Stanislas has done it again.

A fantastic right-foot strike straight into the top corner from 25 yards. No chance for Maarten Stekelenburg. The Cherries have dominated the past 10 minutes and deserve their lead.
