GOAL - Watford 1-0 Hull

Own goal (Dawson)

That is hard on Hull.

Daryl Janmaat's cross is flicked on by Roberto Pereyra and comes off Dawson's shoulder into the goal.

Bit of confusion over who had the last touch, but replays suggest it is definitely the Hull captain.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Walter Mazzarri is shouting instructions from the sidelines, he is not happy with what he is seeing.

Just 10 minutes to go.

The games has got a bit stretched now. Perhaps a goal could be on the horizon?

Watford 0-0 Hull

A short corner by Watford sees some trickery by Roberto Pereyra but another corner comes to nothing.

SUBSTITUTION

Watford 0-0 Hull

Younes Kaboul think he can break the deadlock from long range. He can't and that is his last contribution to the afternoon as he is replaced by Daryl Janmaat.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Another Nordin Amrabat cross is met by Odion Ighalo, who makes contact but can't get his header on target.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Nordin Amrabat gets in again on the right and fires in another cross, he just needs someone to get on the end of one of them.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Nordin Amrabat has had the beating of Sam Clucas every time on the right wing.

He sits the youngster down and then puts in an inviting cross but no one can get on the end of it.

Watford 0-0 Hull

It's taken short, the ball comes to Etienne Capoue, he has a dig but it flies over.

YELLOW CARD

Watford 0-0 Hull

Another booking as Sam Clucas takes out Nordin Amrabat, who has had the better of the Hull player.

Free-kick to Watford on the edge of the area.

Roberto Pereyra  with the cross, it's lofted high and long, too long. José Holebas crosses from the other wing and forces a corner.

The first booking of the afternoon as Valon Behrami is late on Sam Clucas.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Nice play by Hull. David Marshall's goalkick is headed on by Will Keane into the path of Abel Hernández, who bears down on goal but his shot is saved by Heurelho Gomes. Gomes then lets his defence know exactly what he thinks of them.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Roberto Pereyra plays a one-two with Nordin Amrabat, he receives the ball back on the edge of the area but his shot is high and wide.

KICK-OFF

Watford 0-0 Hull

Watford 0-0 Hull

The teams are back out. I hope both team talks involved 'stick the ball in the back of the net'.

Having said that, a draw would suit Hull, and break their losing streak.

Watford 0-0 Hull

This must be the most damning statistic.

Watford have had 11 shots and only one on target.

Hull have had five shots and again, only one on target.

We hope for better in the second-half.

HALF-TIME

Watford 0-0 Hull

No goals, Watford on top.

Younes Kaboul hit the crossbar, Roberto Pereyra hit the post, Troy Deeney has had a couple of half chances. Hull have not threatened much at all.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Walter Mazzarri is talking to one of his assistants, who is holding a plastic folder. He will be happy with how his team are bossing this game, but will want a goal after all their dominance.

One minute injury time.

Hull's Abel Hernández get a bit of room around 30 yards out but blasts over.

Watford 0-0 Hull

There are goals at the Hawthorns and one at the Riverside.

We are still waiting for one at Vicarage Road. Watford look the more likely but Hull are standing firm.

But wait a chance...

Troy Deeney should score there.

Nordin Amrabat's shot into the ground bounces towards the back post and the Watford captain just heads over.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Watford have had five corners, Hull have had none.

As I type that, Sebastian Prödl fancies a try up front, the defender meets Nordin Amrabat and puts a header just wide.

Nordin Amrabat wins another corner, Roberto Pereyra pokes it in but again it is away by Ahmed Elmohamady.

This game needs a goal. Desperately.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Michael Dawson is all over Odion Ighalo on the edge of the Hull area, the ball falls to Troy Deeney but he shoots wide. Watford protest for a free-kick, to be fair the referee seemed to be playing advantage, but it is a goalkick to Hull.

Ahmed Elmohamady, Hull's only real attacking threat, runs down the right wing and fires in a cross that forces Younes Kaboul into a diving lunge to clear the ball.

Watford are putting the press on Hull, they are tight to each man, making life hard for the visitors.

Watford 0-0 Hull

Hull break and Ahmed Elmohamady puts in a cross but it is headed away by Younes Kaboul.

Will Keane then has a very speculative shot from distance. It's miles over but he gets a nod of encouragement from Mike Phelan.

Another corner to Watford, Roberto Pereyra puts the cross in but it is put out for a throw-in by Ahmed Elmohamady.

Ryan Mason then has Hull's first proper shot but Heurelho Gomes makes an easy save.

Watford 0-0 Hull

This tells you all you need to know about the opening 15 minutes. Watford on top.
