The vote for performance of the day is now closed. Here is the result:

Zlatan
BBC

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard: "We dominated the game and got the early goal which killed them.

"We needed a quick start and the manager told us to look for the balls in behind. I did that and Zlatan Ibrahimovic put it away.

"He is a great character, very bubbly around the changing room and helps the young lads. His confidence is flowing now and the games are coming think and fast to add to his tally.

"We are all finding our rhythm now, everyone is gelling together."

Aseem Neupane: Solid performance that. Nullified almost every West Brom set piece.

Robbie Swale: Feels like so long since United have won like this. Goals from great individual play, then total control. Fergie-like.

'It's been a long week...'

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom manager Tony Pulis on BT Sport: "The first goal obviously was a real kick in the teeth for us. It was a poor one to concede and it took a while for us to get going again. We needed to make sure we stayed in the game but they scored the second at a good time for them and that took the steam out of us a bit.

"It's been a long week. We've played three tough games and you can't criticise the players too much. They gave everything."

On the confrontation between Marcos Rojo and Salomon Rondon:

"Are you just going to mention ours? What about Zlatan's challenge [on Craig Dawson]? That’s a worse one than the other one."

A tetchy Tony Pulis coming up...

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United

More from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC Sport: "I'm so pleased for him (Zlatan). He is the kind of player who doesn't need to prove anything to anyone but when he decided to come to England for the last period of his career - to the most difficult championship in the world - I think he proved he is a superman in his mentality.

"What he is doing at 35 is a dream for every striker of 25 in the Premier League.

"I need to give him a rest. Now we have a little rest for the first time. It is not just him but everybody.

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC Sport: "So happy. Great performance, even better than the last one against Crystal Palace. Very solid from the first minute and everything under control. We coped well with difficult things that West Brom always bring to the game.

"We had our identity to keep the ball, press high. So I am really happy.

"You are always worried and I've had matches here and against Tony's teams where they can score a goal in a set play and then can give you hell in the last minutes. It happened to me with Chelsea.

"One thing is to know we are working well and another is to work well and get the results.

"We have to try to win as many points as possible. At some clubs you can play bad football if it is winning football. At other clubs you cannot do that and Manchester United is one of those clubs. You have to win and play well."

The MOTD running order is here...

'Zlatan is fantastic'

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, on BT Sport: “That was very good. We played really well at Crystal Palace and today, even better.

"We were always in control against a very difficult team. We could have scored the second goal earlier, but we still showed our maturity and consistency, and we defended well. I’m very happy."

On Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "I keep saying that for me it is not his body, for me it is more up here [points to head]. It is a pleasure to see him play, his happiness. It's fantastic for a 35-year-old guy."

'I'm feeling good'

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "It went good. It was a difficult game which we were prepared for. We said it would be more difficult than Crystal Palace and the guys did a fantastic job. This game we won as a collective.

"I'm feeling good. At the end I was a little bit tired. When the team is doing good it is easier but the most important thing is the three points."

'Quality team with quality players'

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Tony Brown

Former West Brom striker on BBC WM 95.6

There's been an inability to break Manchester United down. West Brom were unable to get wide and get crosses in. Nothing was produced by the Baggies in the final third. Don't take anything away from Manchester United - they are a quality team with quality players.

Smalling is a top notch defender for me. He's had a lot of injuries - that's his only problem.

SUBSTITUTION

Defender Chris Smalling is returning to action for the first time since Manchester United's 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea.

Off comes Ander Herrera for a breather. The Spaniard ran 10.9km in the match - more than any other player on the pitch.

YELLOW CARD

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

That's taken the wind out of him. Marcus Rashford is finding it difficult to get air into his lungs after this challenge.

The Manchester United man plays the ball into the right channel and is through...

...before Chris Brunt comes across and takes him out with no nonsense shoulder barge.

Another yellow, which makes it six for the game.

That's five straight games without a goal for Wayne Rooney, which means he will not be equalling Sir Bobby Charlton's 249 goals record for Manchester United.

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Right on cue, Marcus Rashford shows what he is capable of, winning the ball back deep in his own back before sprinting forward to the edge of the opposition box in no time.

Too much speed and he eventually loses the ball.

Thereafter, Paul Pogba strikes a shot over the crossbar.

10 minutes remaining.

'Rashford has quality'

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

Tony Brown

Former West Brom striker on BBC WM 95.6

Rashford is a great prospect. A young lad - he's still learning the game. But he's shown what qualities he has - and that quality is scoring goals.

SUBSTITUTION

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd

The hardworking Jesse Lingard, who had a decent game, comes off and the pacey Marcus Rashford comes on.

Oh, what's happened here??

Out of nothing, it all flares up between Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo and Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondon.

Both come together and Rondon pushes his opponent in the chest, before it looks like he slaps Rojo across the face.

Phil Jones grasses Rondon up by running to the referee and the two South Americans are booked.
