The tackles have been flying with casualties on both sides.

Omar Ramos' game has been cut short by injury while Real substitute Lucas Vazquez is also in the wars after winning his side a free-kick on the edge of the Leganes area.

Real's third and final change - Lucas Vazquez is on in the closing stages for goalscorer Alvaro Morata.

Real Madrid 3-0 Leganes

So, Real Madrid are going five points clear at the top of La Liga. It's not been a vintage performance from Zinedine Zidane's side but they have done enough to hang on to top spot during the international break.

All over. Another clinical finish this time from the boot of Alvaro Morata from an angle after a threaded Luka Modric pass.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Alexander Szymanowski has been Leganes' biggest threat. He was very unlucky with that effort. Tremendous goalkeeping by Navas.

GREAT SAVE!

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Is this the moment Leganes' fans have waited for?

The visitors have unlocked the Real defence and Argentine Alexander Szymanowski is clean through with only Keylor Navas to beat.

He takes one glance before dispatching a shot which Navas brilliantly deflects over his bar.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

There's a huge sense of anticipation from the crowd each time the balls lands at Gareth Bale's feet. They are willing the forward to complete his hat-trick. Twenty minutes for Real's No 11 to do it.

SUBSTITUTION

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

A second change for Real as James Rodriguez comes on for a lacklustre Isco.

Leganes also use the moment to send on a fresh pair of legs. On comes Brazilian forward Luciano for Ruben Perez.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

This is a critical spell for Leganes.

Lots of positives for the visitors so far despite the scoreline.

They certainly haven't embarrassed themselves against their illustrious neighbours but there's still another 25 minutes to go.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Leganes are enjoying a spell of possession just outside the Real area. They might be unbeaten at the top of the table but Real have managed just two top-flight clean sheets this season. They'll be keen to make it three in this game.

SUBSTITUTION

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

First change of the game.

Leganes replace forward Darwin Machis with Omar Ramos.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Free-kick to Real just outside the Leganes area.

Will it be Ronaldo or Bale to take?

It's Bale...and it's so close. Bale will be kicking himself if he does not complete his hat-trick. Hecould have had a three goals in the first eight minutes of the second half alone.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Another Real chance. And again it falls to Gareth Bale.

Cristiano Ronaldo produces a sublime cross which Bale powers towards the net only for Jon Ander Serantes to pluck the ball out of the air.

CLOSE!

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Bale breaks into the Leganes area with Cristiano Ronaldo screaming for the ball. Bale's looking for his hat-trick and is not listening. He pulls the trigger...and the keeper saves. Bale doesn't dare to look at Ronaldo's reaction.

Surely one of the most bizarre stories of the weekend in Europe...

Montpellier defender Mathieu Deplagne appealed for help after losing a tooth on the pitch during his side's victory over Marseille.

Deplagne, 25, was hurt late in Friday's Ligue 1 game and was substituted.

Barcelona came unstuck at Sevilla last season

The late game between Sevilla and Barcelona (19:45 GMT) has all the ingredients to be a belter.

Sevilla have made a fine start to the season and sit one point behind second-placed Barca.

Home advantage could make all the difference, with Sevilla winning the corresponding fixture 2-1 last season.

Atletico blow chance to go top

Good weekend so far for Real. Not so for neighbours Atletico Madrid, who missed a chance to go top of La Liga as former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela inspired Real Sociedad to a third straight league win on Saturday.

Mexico international Vela, 27, broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Gabi had tripped Yuri Berchiche.

Vela was then brought down in the area by Angel Correa which allowed Willian Jose to double the lead.

Atletico are fourth in the table with 21 points from 11 games.

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Shortly before Bale scored his second, Leganes had gone close through Alexander Szymanowski. Bale appeared to be shoved in the back in the build up before the Leganes player let fly from distance.

Real's players were angry play was not stopped as Bale appeared injured and keeper Kaylor Navas squared up to Szymanowski before the referee intervened.

Bale got up and dusted himself down before scoring his second of the game.

GOAL - Gareth Bale

Real Madrid 2-0 Leganes

Gareth Bale strikes again!

He pounces from close range after a free-kick into the area is nodded into his path.

Suddenly, Bale is on a hat-trick. Suddenly, Real are cruising after a poor start. Suddenly, Leganes have gone to pieces at the back.

YELLOW CARD

Real Madrid 1-0 Leganes

That goal was cruel on Leganes, who have limited their opponents to just a handful of chances.

Real have their tales up but another attack is halted when Pablo Insua brings down Alvaro Morata. Out comes the yellow card.

GOAL - Gareth Bale

Real Madrid 1-0 Leganes

New contract, same old Gareth Bale.

The Wales forward produces a rare moment of class in a poor game to fire home from an angle after a wonderful long pass by Isco unlocked the Leganes defence.

Real have their noses in front.

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Jon Ander Serantes was surely expecting one of his busiest days of the season. In reality the Leganes keeper has had very little to do. Real Madrid have been ragged and poor. Interesting half time team talk ahead for Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

All the noise inside the Bernabeu is coming from the travelling Leganes fans.

They'll be delighted with the way their team has set up and frustrated their illustrious neighbours.

Still no shots on target by the hosts with around 10 minutes of the first half remaining. Unbelievable.

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Cristiano Ronaldo is not having fun.

He's already on a booking yet he continues to act like a moody teenager.

Lots of arm waving, complaining and shrugging of the shoulders.

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Real are starting to dominate possession but it's very tame.

Ronaldo and Bale are yet to spark and too many players in white are under performing.

Leganes have equipped themselves well and are proving difficult to breakdown.

CLOSE!

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

Great chance for Cristiano Ronaldo to open the scoring as the ball drops at his feet inside the area...but he hoofs it over the bar.

Definitely a case of going for power instead of accuracy there.

Real Madrid 0-0 Leganes

More whistles from the stands but it's got nothing to do with the referee this time.

Real's passing has been shocking by their usual high standards.

The home fans have yet to see their side test the Leganes keeper and they are losing patience.

Zzzzzz....

No shots on target by either side. This is a snooze-fest.

Real's fans come to life as Cristiano Ronaldo is booked for dissent after complaining at being fouled. Jeers echo around the Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane took his side go-karting in the build up to this game but his players have started in the slow lane here.

Even Gareth Bale's passing is off the radar.

Credit to Leganes. They will be delighted they have stifled a team that has scored 50 times in the last 16 games.
