What a treat that was. A jam-packed evening of Premier League football with plenty of goals to boot.

That's it from us. Until next time, good night.

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

West Ham got a bit of luck. Their season has turned around a bit. They have had a bit of luck and are showing a bit of spirit.

Arnautovic tackle 'definitely' a red

Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

Stoke City's Marko Arnautović was sent off in their 0-0 draw with Southampton for a high tackle. Here are Alan Shearer's thoughts...

It was definitely a red card.

I don't think anyone can argue. It was high, dangerous and mis-timed.

'Players struggling to understand what Pep wants'

Man City 2-0 Watford

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

Guardiola got off to a great start but City have struggled of late.

Some players are finding it hard understanding what he wants of them. He keeps chopping and changing. He hasn't found a system that his players are comfortable with and that is showing.

Pep criticism 'pathetic'

Man City 2-0 Watford

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

On Pep Guardiola criticism: "It's pathetic. So soon into a season. We wanted Pep to come to England and now we are trying to destroy him, I don't get it."

'Not convincing, but a big three points'

Man City 2-0 Watford

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

It was not about the performance tonight, it was about getting the result. They did not play at their fluent best but they did score a couple of really good goals.

It wasn't convincing, it was a bit of a nervous atmosphere at the Etihad today but it was an important three points.

West Brom 3-1 Swansea

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on Match of the Day

The one thing you can say about Swansea is that they score goals but they have got a soft centre.

They need to start keeping clean sheets and being harder to beat.

West Brom 3-1 Swansea

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

West Brom are having a phenomenal season.

Everyone says boring Tony Pulis but they have scored more goals than Manchester United. They are entertaining and playing well.

'Hull in big trouble'

Tottenham 3-0 Hull

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

Hull had seven points after four games and now have 12 after 16 games. They have the worst defensive record in the league, they are in big trouble.

I don't think there is a problem with the players' attitude, just the quality. Spurs didn't have to get out of second gear to win.

Tottenham 3-0 Hull

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

I thought in the final third Tottenham were relying too much on Harry Kane. Eriksen has just started to hit form, we know he is a silky player and he is getting goals now. He has five goals in four games. Spurs need the likes of Lamela, Eriksen, Alli and Son to start providing a bit more and give Kane that bit of help.

'Rojo should have seen red'

Crystal Palace 1-2 Man Utd

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

.
.

It should have been a red card for Marcos Rojo.

We saw it against Everton and he got away with it. You cannot tackle like that. It would have changed the game completely.

'Zlatan is world class'

Crystal Palace 1-2 Man Utd

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on MOTD

You talk about sports science and that you can only play one game a week but Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays every minute of every game for Manchester United. Phenomenal. I think he is world class.

'Keepers worth 12 points'

Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

Thibaut Courtois
Reuters

I think goalkeepers can be worth at least nine or 12 points at the end of the season.

Chelsea have eight clean sheets in 10 games.

We have spoken a lot about Costa, Hazard and Pedro but Thibaut Courtois has not had a big mention.

He played his part tonight with two unbelievable saves from Adnan Januzaj and Patrick van Aanholt.

Settled side helping Chelsea

Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on Match of the Day

Chelsea are full of confidence, have not disrupted the side too much and when one or two players come in you can't tell. It is so smooth.

Class act Cesc

Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea

Phil Neville

Former Manchester United defender on Match of the Day

In the three games Cesc Fabregas has been involved in he set up a goal for Diego Costa against Manchester City, had a hand in the goal against West Brom and scored the winner against Sunderland. It was a fantastic finish from a class player who has kept his head down and waited for the opportunity to come in.

Alan Shearer was impressed with Adam Lallana's performance tonight after two goals and an assist...

Jurgen Klopp has given Lallana more license to roam and get forward.

He has six goals and six assists this season.

He wants to be involved and he was absolutely brilliant tonight, as he has been for large parts of this season.

'Eric Dier's future is here'

Tottenham 3-0 Hull

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: “I think it was a game we dominated. I think the most important is the three points, to be close to the top four.

“In some parts the team play well, which is hard against a team playing for survival."

On Christian Eriksen: “He was very close to a hat-trick. It was a very good performance for him, he played very very well."

On Eric Dier: “I know there are a lot of rumours, but he’s 100% our player. He’s very important for us, he signed a contract after the Euros and showed his commitment to the club. There’s no doubt his future is at White Hart Lane.”

'We were too nervous'

Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Southampton

Southampton manager Claude Puel: "We're disappointed. Eleven against 10 you have to do better. In the first half we were too nervous, in the second half we were better and created a few possibilities but it was not enough.

"There were good crosses and good combinations but our play was too slow and not effective in the final third. It was two points lost and it's a shame."

On Arnautovic's red card: "I think it's a important foul, it was very dangerous, he does not play the ball."

'We need to add extra'

Tottenham 3-0 Hull

Hull City

Hull boss Mike Phelan: “We came here with a fabulous attitude. They’ve come here and played the ball, controlled it, restricted their attempts, but at a certain time in the game we were more than value for money.

“I thought they did very well but we’re on the end of a 3-0 defeat - but we have to stay positive.

"Every game is key, it’s all on the next game and we can only look forward. I’m staying positive for these players and hopefully we can add to the group in January.

"If we can keep creating opportunities and doing the right things, I’m hoping we can turn positive performance into results.

"We’re looking at improving the group. We definitely need to be adding that extra to give the club and supporters and players a lift."

Middlesbrough 0-3 Liverpool

Adam Lallana made one and scored two against Middlesbrough tonight - here's his reaction.

"Solid team performance already looking forward to Monday night."

'It wasn't violent'

Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Stoke City

Stoke manager Mark Hughes, on Marko Arnautovic's red card: "It's unfortunate because he obviously caught him high on the thigh but the ball was bouncing around and it wasn't a violent movement to take the player out.

"I feel that common sense should have prevailed, but officials come here and for some reason seem to think that giving out cards early to Stoke players seems to be the norm.

"The ref wasn't great on the night, he missed a number of decisions and clearly missed an elbow from Shane Long on Bruno Martins Indi - that needs looking at again.

"Overall the ref put us in a situation and we had to show real work ethic and understanding of what was required. Given the circumstances, the point we gained was magnificent."

'We had to oil the engine'

West Brom 3-1 Swansea

West Brom boss Tony Pulis on Match of the Day: "We played 24 hours later than Swansea did and, in the first half, we looked laboured.

"I'm pleased for the group, I thought in the first 20 minutes of the second half - that's where the game was won and we played like we can pay.

"We said a few things (at half-time) and sometimes you have to say a few things. It was more to do with the fact we had to step up.

"The main players in the team stepped it up, and that was the important for us. Three fantastic headers. We're pleased for him and the group. We really had to dig deep and oil the engine.

"We move on. We've got an unbelievable hard game against Man Utd."

'We need to transfer home form to away games'

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "The reality of the Premier League is that it’s tough. We took the game on in the second half.

"We have to bring the mentality of our home displays to away games. We didn't take responsibility of a game that could have gone our way. We didn’t come into the game until the second half."

Firing blanks

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

Only Derby in 2007-08 have scored fewer away goals in their first seven Premier League away games of a season than Burnley this season (1).

Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea

'Carroll is a miracle'

West Ham 1-0 Burnley

West Ham United

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic talking to BBC Sport: "It was a very important game for us. It was a very long game – the longest game we’ve been involved in.

"Well done to the players, we showed the character. I think we deserved it. We dominated the first half. We had shots that hit the post. We had two penalty appeals. We should have been ahead by more than one goal looking at the quantities of chances."

On striker  Andy Carroll, who made his first start since August:

"It’s no secret I'm a big fan of him. I'm not a big fan 'cos he’s a cousin or relative. It’s what I see on the training pitch. He is a miracle. What he gives to the team is massive."

Man City 'played with spirit'

Man City 2-0 Watford

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola: "We won, we had a good performance. All the team worked hard and it is good to get a clean sheet and all our defenders did well against tough, tough strikers.

"The game is always open here in England, Watford have impressed me. They have amazing strikers, strong and physical, but my players played with the spirit."

On Claudio Bravo: "It is not easy to come to a new club and a new country. I know what people say about him but he has good experience. When moments arrive he has to be brave. today he was excellent."

On Pablo Zabaleta: "We need his spirit, he is part of this history and played well with and without the ball. On the pitch and in the dressing room he is important for us."
