FULL-TIME

Barcelona 7-0 Hercules (agg 8-1)

There goes the final whistle and Barcelona progress into the last-16 of Copa del Rey with a thumping victory over third tier Hercules.

Thanks for joining us.

GOAL - Barcelona 7-0 Hercules

Arda Turan

A hat-trick for the Turkish midfielder...and what a goal it is.

Hercules make a mess of clearing the corner, giving it away to Arda Turan, who duly punishes them.

The former Atletico Madrid man is on the angle of the box, takes a touch before curling a glorious strike into the far corner of the net.

The best of the lot and it is magnificent seven for Luis Enrique's men.

GREAT SAVE!

Barcelona 6-0 Hercules (agg 7-1)

Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues denies Paco Alcacer again with another superb save, diving high to his right.

Corner to Barcelona...

GOAL - Barcelona 6-0 Hercules

Arda Turan

And it is six!

Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues is so unlucky after making a stunning save to deny Paco Alcacer's close-range header.

The ball breaks to Arda Turan inside the box and the Turkish midfielder rockets a finish into the roof of the net.

Five minutes remaining, can Barcelona hit Hercules for six?

GREAT SAVE!

Barcelona 5-0 Hercules (agg 6-1)

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic fancies another, drilling a low shot from 30 yards out, but Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues is equal to it.

Eight minutes remaining.

CLOSE!

Barcelona 5-0 Hercules (agg 6-1)

Lucas Digne almost flukes one into the top corner as he gets his cross wrong, which drifts narrowly wide of the far post.

CLOSE!

Barcelona 5-0 Hercules (agg 6-1)

Ohh no. Jose Manuel Rojas has a free header, but cannot find the target.

He was unmarked in front of the net and misses the chance of a goal he could have told his grand kids about.

SHOWBOAT

Barcelona 5-0 Hercules (agg 6-1)

Sublime technique from Denis Suarez in the penalty area, playing the ball from right to left foot, before getting past his man on the outside.

He plays the ball into the path of Paco Alcacer six yards out, but this time the Barcelona striker's shot is blocked.

Alcacer is just getting greedy now.

GOAL - Barcelona 5-0 Hercules

Paco Alcacer

Yessss, he has done it.

It has taken him five months and 12 games, but Paco Alcacer finally has a goal in a Barcelona shirt.

Rafinha breaks into the area and his cross deflects off a Hercules defender, looping into the area and onto the head of the former Valencia man two yards out and he can nod into an open net.

Alcacer looks to the heavens, you can see the relief on his face. The Barcelona players pile in to congratulate him.

Barcelona 4-0 Hercules (agg 5-1)

Barcelona playing the ball from right to left, before playing it back. The Hercules players are running on empty now, but there is still 20 minutes left to play.

Barcelona 4-0 Hercules (agg 5-1)

Arda Turan meets Lucas Digne's cross at the back post, but the header lacks power and Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues can collect.

CLOSE!

Barcelona 4-0 Hercules (agg 5-1)

Ahh, just not happening for Paco Alcacer.

Midfielder Andre Gomes slides a ball to Denis Suarez on the left edge of the box.

The French plays a sumptuous cross towards Alcacer three yards out, but the Barcelona striker is unable to get on the end of it.

Barcelona 4-0 Hercules (agg 5-1)

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is caught on the face by a left elbow from Checa.

The referee misses the incident so the Hercules player gets away with it.

Umtiti is not happy and rightly so.

Barcelona 4-0 Hercules (agg 5-1)

One man who needs a goal is Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer.

He signed from Valencia in the summer for £25.5m but has failed to find the net in 11 appearances so far.

If he can't get one against this lot, there's no hope for him.

GOAL - Barcelona 4-0 Hercules

Arda Turan

He made the last one but gets on the scoresheet now.

An inch-perfect cross is whipped in from the right into the six yard box and Arda Turan stoops to head in Barcelona's fourth goal of the night.

How many more can they get?

GOAL - Barcelona 3-0 Hercules

Rafinha

Smashed in.

It is brilliantly made by Turkish midfielder Arda Turan, whose nifty footwork takes three Hercules defenders out of the game.

The ball breaks to Rafinha on the edge of the area and the Barca man takes aim before rifling a left-footed drive low into the net.

Barcelona 2-0 Hercules (agg 3-1)

Oh hello.

Hercules earn their first corner of the game, which is flicked on by Jose Manuel Rojas, but it drifts out of play.

Disappointing for the visitors.

KICK-OFF

Barcelona 2-0 Hercules (agg 3-1)

Off we go in the second half.

Barcelona 2-0 Hercules (agg 3-1)

Who knew former France striker David Trezeguet used to play for Hercules??

How the Spanish third tier side could do with his goalscoring prowess this evening.

Barcelona 2-0 Hercules (agg 3-1)

The half time stats show Barcelona had 71% possession with three attempts at goal. They scored from two of those.

Hercules, meanwhile, are yet to work home goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.

HALF-TIME

Barcelona 2-0 Hercules (agg 3-1)

And that penalty is the last action of the half.

It took Barcelona a while, but two goals in quick successions sees them in control of this Copa del Rey tie.

GOAL - Barcelona 2-0 Hercules

Ivan Rakitic

Barcelona double their lead.

It is a poor penalty from Ivan Rakitic, just right of centre, but Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues cannot save it as the ball goes under his body.

Game over, you would think.

PENALTY TO BARCELONA

Barcelona 1-0 Hercules (agg 2-1)

Arda Turan, on the run, turns the ball back inside and has his feet swipes from underneath him by Fernando Roman.

Penalty kick.

Barcelona 1-0 Hercules (agg 2-1)

Frenchman Lucas Digne has got one and is looking for another, but his header at the back post is mis-directed and flies over the crossbar.

Barcelona 1-0 Hercules (agg 2-1)

Oh, oh. Aleix Vidal is not happy after a challenge and Hercules skipper Paco Pena gets involved. He fronts up to the Barcelona man and raises his hands to him - which the referee sees - but is only given a yellow card.

A sympathetic decision from the referee during the festive period.

GOAL - Barcelona 1-0 Hercules

Lucas Digne

This is so un-Barcelona-esque.

The home side take the lead but it is not a pretty goal.

Arda Turan plays a ball in from the left into the area for Rafinha, who makes a right mess of his shot as it bobbles into the path of Lucas Digne and the Frenchman says thank you very much with a poked finish from close range.

CLOSE!

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

The closest Barcelona have come to scoring.

It is a brilliant run from Denis Suarez, who picks the ball up inside his own half before making a run down the left flank and into the area.

He beats three defenders with quick feet, but then drags his shot into the side netting.

From eight yards out, the former Villarreal man should have worked the Hercules goalkeeper.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Hercules get into the Barcelona penalty area for the first time as Chechu Flores gallops forward, but a poor touch allows Javier Mascherano to make the tackle and the chance is gone.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

After some treatment from the physio on the sidelines, Checa is well enough to trot back onto the pitch.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

A break in play and a chance for Hercules to get a drink as Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez comes through the back of Checa, who is down in a heap.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Pass, pass, pass across the Hercules defensive line, all lined up across the edge of the box before Ivan Rakitic takes matters into his own hands by lashing a shot over the crossbar.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Good judgement from Hercules goalkeeper Ivan Buigues, who sprints off his line to pluck the ball off Samuel Umtiti's head following Ivan Rakitic's cross.

All Barca but lacking in penetration.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Difficult work for Barcelona so far as they try and unlock a defence which contains 11 men.

Denis Suarez gets two bites at Arda Turan's cross but is eventually flagged offside.

A.J. Vergette: "leaving out the big guns" is fair enough. But what does that make Rafinha, Arda Turan and Paco Alcacer? Mid range artillery?

Nose bleed territory.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

81% possession so far for Barcelona, still no goals though.

Ivan Rakitic seeing plenty of the ball in the middle of the park but has been unable to create an opportunity yet.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Barcelona happy to be patient and take their time to try and unlock the Hercules defence.

You would think when the hosts get the first, the floodgates will open up for five or six.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

Hercules playing the old 6-3-1 formation. Think they need to drop one more back into defence as Barcelona are controlling the tempo.

What more would you expect from the home side playing at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona 0-0 Hercules (agg 1-1)

First shot at goal by Barcelona, first of many I should think.

French left-back Lucas Digne fashions a chance inside the area, dragging the ball from left foot to right, but his shot is wild and over the crossbar.
