As far as league positions are concerned, it's as you were prior to kick-off and still plenty to play for.

You can read a report of today's action here and join us next week for our coverage of Saturday's five matches.

Videos of all today's matches can be viewed now on the BBC Sport NI website.

Before that, we will have updates on Tuesday night's rearranged game between Ballinamallard and Glenavon and Friday's fixture between Ards and Glentoran.

Bye for now and enjoy your Saturday evening.

What they said

Glenavon 1-2 Linfield

I'm pleased with effort the boys put in today, especially because we were down to the bare bones with our back-line - I couldn't have asked for anymore from them. The sending off changed the game, we were on top at that point and creating a few chances so it changed how this game turned out.

Gary HamiltonGlenavon manager

What they said

Glenavon 1-2 Linfield

It was a hard-fought win, first-half we felt in control and second-half we came out sluggish. Glenavon are an attacking side and they took the game to us, but we're thankful to come away with the three points. It's a hard place to come. We've come under a lot of pressure and scrutiny because we have to win every game to keep the title race alive. We're chasing Crusaders and Cliftonville are chasing us, so we just have to keep winning.

Andrew WaterworthLinfield striker

What they said

Cliftonville 2-1 Ards

In the end, it was job done. We were poor in the first-half, very good in the second. It took a bit of rollicking at half-time to get going but once we did, I thought we were fantastic. They did a good job in the first-half to deny us space but we brought Martin Donnelly on at half-time and he provided width, which helped stretch their defence. I let the boys know the first-half performance wasn't acceptable, but I'm pleased with how we responded.

RED CARD

Glenavon 1-1 Linfield

Ciaran Martyn has been sent off for Glenavon!

Well, the complexion of this match has been completely transformed. Glenavon began piling on the pressure after equalising but they'll be forced to play out the remaining 20 minutes with ten-men after Martyn is shown a second yellow for a handball.

Gary Hamilton will be absolutely furious as his side had just gained the upper-hand and were pressing for a second.

It's a big chance for Linfield to clinch all three points though - a draw simply isn't enough for them with Crusaders certain to pick up a victory today. As it stands, Stephen Baxter's men are going nine points clear.

GOAL

Cliftonville 2-1 Ards

The Reds have turned it around at Solitude and it's Levi Ives firing in from the edge of the box, making amends for conceding the penalty earlier on. That was a lovely flowing move from the home side and exactly what Lyttle would have been demanding at half-time.

Last week's spot-kick, which was saved by Cliftonville goalkeeper Paul Burke, the only blot in his copybook.
