'We're still not safe'

Leicester 2-0 Stoke

Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare: "I always thought there was moments in the game where Stoke came back into it.

"I always thought the first goal in the game would be crucial. It gave us foothold in the game. The second goal just after half-time gave us that confidence to go on and win the game.

"We're still not safe. I'm really not looking too far ahead. I think we've got to concentrate on each game. I think there's still a lot of points of play for. We're on a good run and full of confidence but we've got another tough game against Sunderland.

On his record: "I am proud but I'm proud for everyone associated with the football club, especially the players."

'We never produced the quality required'

Leicester 2-0 Stoke

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "We didn't perform today. What you don't want to happen is to go behind against a Leicester side. It becomes more of a basketball game, end to end, and we ended up chasing the game somewhat.

"Whatever we said at half-time didn't work because straight away we conceded the second. From that moment it was difficult to see a way back for us.

"We never produced the quality that was required. Not a great day for us, we didn't make it hared enough for Leicester to win the game. We've got a difficult fixture against Burnley. We will have to be better than we were today."

Burnley 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur

Eric Dier, speaking to BBC Sport: "It's a huge win and it's always a difficult game against Burnley.

"It was an important goal for me to score - it was a relief and I'm happy to score as it's been a while.

"I needed a bit of luck but it just bounced down to me and I put it in.

"It was a bit ugly at times but I thought we played some good football and stuck to our principles.

"We just need to keep focusing on ourselves and making sure that we're there if Chelsea slip up."

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Chris Powell

Former England full-back on Final Score

You've got to give a lot of credit to Crystal Palace for the performance today rather than a poor Chelsea.

The goalkeeper turned up, the back four turned up and Wilfred Zaha turned up. It's a clear Sam Allardyce team now - I think they thought he was going to have an instant impact but it has taken them a few weeks to buy into Big Sam's way. I think you're going to see a lot more of that as the season ends.

'We need to keep calm and go again'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill on Match of the Day:  "We're disappointed as we had a chance to chalk another three points off. They made it difficult. It was a crazy 15 minutes once we settled it was one-way traffic.

"I hate possession stats. It's about putting the ball in the net. We have to regroup. It's a little set back but we need to focus on Wednesday. We need to keep calm and go again.

"The gap is still there. It puts emphasis on Wednesday. It adds a bit more pressure but the boys respond to that."

Southampton 0-0 Bournemouth

We're 20 minutes into Southampton versus Bournemouth and it is still goalless.

If you fancy following it then head here.

'We must accept this result'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte speaking to Match of the Day: "This is football. We must accept this result.

"We scored our goal after five minutes and then we conceded two in a few minutes. When you concede goals in that way you must understand the situation and improve on these mistakes.

"In every game in England, anything can happen. The league is so strong. We faced a team today with strong players. I think they showed they were a good team.

"Now we have to think about the next game. If we had won we would have been happy but now it's important to focus on Manchester City."

'Hull are showing real fight'

Hull 2-1 West Ham

Jason Roberts

Former West Brom striker on Final Score

Hull are experiencing the same bounce with a new manager Leicester are having. He has brought a new philosophy to the team and they are showing real fight nowadays. It was a really strong performance against a West Ham team where you just don't know what you are going to get.

In regards to the ugly stuff you have to do to win football games, Hull were just better prepared today.

'It is very hard to take'

Hull 2-1 West Ham

West Ham United

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic: "I was very satisfied [at half-time]. We were winning, they didn’t have have a shot on target, We neutralised them.

"It was all good until they equalised. They had five minutes of a good spell but then we came back again. To concede a set-piece again, It is very hard to take. We conceded two against Leicester, one against Bournemouth, it’s no good.

"Ranocchia was basically in that position alone, and we didn’t mark him."

On the shrinking gap to the bottom three: "They are making up ground. It’s very open and they are closing the gap. With a point we are keeping them nine points behind us, but now it’s six."

On his future: "I’m doing my job. I’m motivated. But if we are doing so many mistakes then you will pay the price."

'We need to fight until the end of the season'

Hull 2-1 West Ham

Hull City

Hull head coach Marco Silva: "We changed some things [at half-time], the system. I think we changed our confidence as well.

"In the first half we were too slow, in the second half we played with more confidence. We had a great 25 minutes at the start of the second half. We scored one goal and could have had more. One off the post. I think we deserve this victory.

"It was really important. In our stadium with our fans we are stronger. All the games now are important. We showed again this afternoon how strong we are when we play at home."

On the fight against relegation: "It’s our goal. Since we came we have said that. It’s difficult. It’s important we had a good performance this afternoon but we need to fight until the end of the season for sure.

"This result gives confidence but this game is finished and Middlesbrough is another game."

'Now we can work in tranquility'

Watford 1-0 Sunderland

Miguel Britos speaking after scoring his first goal for Watford:  "I'm very happy, not just for the goal but because we won. It was very important. We weren't in a good position but now we have three more points.

"We have to carry on and work hard but now we can work in tranquility. We're not so nervous. We know if we play like we did today with this attitude then we will win."

I like the idea of working in tranquility. Very zen.

'No doubt it is a deserved win'

Watford 1-0 Sunderland

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri: “It gives me great satisfaction but the one area we have to improve on is the last pass. It was very deserved. We had four or five chances in the first half. We should have scored more goals but no doubt it is a deserved win.

Asked how surprised that Miguel Britos scored his side’s goal: “I always make fun and say ‘he always gets the ball but never scores’."

'I think we deserved something'

Watford 1-0 Sunderland

Sunderland manager David Moyes: “It was very tight. I said set pieces would be vital and we did well. We had a few to defend and we just don’t see the job through. There weren’t really any other opportunities. Jordan made a great save but it was even Stevens

“The players showed heart and were committed. We tried to find way a of scoring but that has been a problem and it was today. I think we deserved something.”

Asked if he believes Sunderland can stay up, the Scot said: “Yes. Results haven’t gone for us but we will keep going."

Watford 1-0 Sunderland

It's really not looking good for Sunderland, is it?

Bottom of the table, seven points from safety and just one win since Boxing Day.

Let's see what David Moyes has to say.

Team-mates fighting in Scotland

Earlier today we were discussing notable bust-ups in football and it seems a couple of the St Johnstone players might have been reading.

Team-mates Richard Foster and Danny Swanson were sent off after scrapping while going down the tunnel at half-time against Hamilton.

Burnley 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur

Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC Sport: "I'm very proud because it was a really tough game for us.

"We showed great character and I'm very proud and pleased because the performance in the second half was very good.

"This win is massive for us - we have to be there if Chelsea fail and we are there. We are fighting for the Premier League.

"When you reduce the gap to seven points it's completely different to 10 points - we just have to be there if Chelsea fail and want to be there until the end of the season.

"We're still waiting on Harry Winks but Victor Wanyama got a big knock on his back and hopefully it's not a big issue for him.

"Harry Kane is good, he's doing things on the pitch and may be back in a few weeks."

'I'm stunned'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Wilfried Zaha on Palace's win: "I'm stunned. They're top of the league. No one would expect us to come here and do that. I'm a happy man.

"We know there's talent here, we just needed to work together. Everyone is seeing it now. We didn't factor in this result but we had to believe in ourselves.

"I'm enjoying my football again. The team believe in me and the gaffer believes in me. He let's me play freely but there's also structure to the team. I can go out there and express myself."

Can Palace avoid the drop?

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Sam Allardyce on what this win means to their league position: "It's ours to throw away now. At this moment in time we are safe but there's still nine games to go.

"We must pick up as many points now. When we are mathematically safe we'll look forward to the summer."

'Performance of the season'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Chris Powell

Former England full-back on Final Score

That was the performance of the season from Crystal Palace.

They showed everyone in this league how to perform against Chelsea and every player was heroic.

They didn't panic when they went 1-0 down and scored two great counter-attacking goals and they could have had another on the break.

'This is what the Premier League is about'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Manager Sam Allardyce on Palace's win: "I think our performance is typical of what seems to be the character of the side. It's the first time we’ve gone behind so early. The determination has shone through. We knew we were going to be pegged back.

"The defence was outstanding, the goalkeeper was outstanding. We could have scored more.

"The game plan worked exceptionally well.

"It's a sweet three points to come to the champions, or who I think are going to be champions, and win. This is what the Premier League is about. There can be a shock anywhere. It will make people sit up and say wow."

United for title next season?

Man Utd 0-0 West Brom

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Tony Pulis tells BBC Sport: "If we won at the end, it would have been unjust. We are really pleased with the effort and commitment they put in today, United have some really good players. No matter how well set up you are, you will always be on your back foot.

"We have players who can do better in possession but it is a fabulous point to get at Old Trafford.

"The group plays very well together, they play very compact but we had opportunities to spring out of it like against Arsenal. Their resilience and commitment was fantastic.

"We did not want them in behind us and we did not want them to get us one-on-one. A really good team perofrmance.

"Jose is a top manager and it is a transition year for him. I would not bet against him winning the title next year. He will go out and get the players he wants."

Rotherham relegated

Rotherham United's relegation from the Championship is confirmed by a 1-0 home defeat by Fulham, who move into the top six.

Here are the other headlines from the Championship:

  • Matt Ritchie scores the winner as Newcastle survive a second-half scare to beat Wigan and remain top of the Championship.
  • Glenn Murray gives second-placed Brighton victory over Blackburn, allowing the Seagulls to open a nine-point gap over Huddersfield in third, who are dramatically beaten at home by lowly Burton.
  • Jonathan Kodjia scores twice as Aston Villa beat Norwich, Danny Batth hits a double to help Wolves to a 3-1 win over Cardiff and Brentford comfortably beat struggling Bristol City.

'Drew too many'

Man Utd 0-0 West Brom

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport after being asked if it was an equal match: "You think the game was equal? I can smile win, lose or draw. I am sorry to say, it is a silly question.

"When the team crosses the line once in 90 minutes and when the team is in the opposition half trying and trying and trying, you ask if we were equal?

"David de Gea was sleeping and he did the funny thing at the end, I was laughing with that.

"One team had the ball, one team didn't. One team tried to win, the other tried to draw. One keeper did a funny thing, the other made three great saves.

"We have a lot of draws this season. Teams come here just to defend. Goalkeepers come here to be man of the match. We cannot score a goal even when we are one-on-one. We beat everyone on quality of play and direction of the game, possession, creation and ambition but we drew too many matches."

Moody Mourinho

A VERY spiky interview with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho on my screen right now.

Watch out for the interview soon.

That superb win for Crystal Palace means they are now four points clear of trouble. What a turnaround under Sam Allardyce.

Hull also boosted their survival hopes and they are now level with Swansea.

It's looking bleak for Sunderland, who are now seven points from safety.

Winks in hospital

Burnley 0-2 Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed midfielder Harry Winks has been taken to hospital after his serious-looking injury in the first half at Turf Moor.

Winks appeared to catch his ankle while chasing Stephen Ward and he then stumbled into paraphernalia which was placed by the Spurs dugout.

After a long treatment, he was taken away on a stretcher.

'We are starting to believe'

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Mamadou Sakho on Crystal Palace's win over Chelsea: "We played a good game. It was really hard but I think we played with a big heart. Our fans really shouted for us and they gave us a lot of encouragement. We played 12 against 11.

"It was important to come and win here. We spoke at half-time about needing the three points. We weren't here to go back with a draw.

"We play with big determination. I'm so happy for us. It's a good team with good players and we are starting to believe. If you fight always like it's your last day, you can reverse everything."

That surprise defeat for Chelsea means Tottenham cut the gap to seven points. It is a toughie for Cheslea in their next game as they host Manchester City on Wednesday.
