Goodbye

PSG 4-1 Monaco

There's still a chance PSG can end the season with a domestic triple. They trail leaders Monaco by three points in Ligue 1 while the capital club are in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France - the country's most prestigious cup competition.

As for Monaco, they can still secure a European and domestic treble despite this defeat.

Many thanks for your company. The celebrations are just starting in Paris but it's time to say goodbye. Until next time. Au Revoir.

PSG are the French League Cup winners for a seventh time - and for the fourth successive season. It's a first major trophy for Unai Emery since taking over last summer.

PSG 4-1 Monaco

PSG 4-1 Monaco

Two assists and a goal for Angel Di Maria while Edinson Cavani's finishing has been of the highest quality. And let's not forget Marco Verratti's exquisite passing.

PSG 4-1 Monaco

Five minutes of additional time. PSG's fans have not had a lot to shout about this season but they've started the party in Lyon.

Icing on the cake

PSG 4-1 Monaco

Let the celebrations begin!

Edinson Cavani puts the icing on PSG's French League Cup final cake with another delightful finish - a swing of the boot inside the area which goes in-off the underside of the bar.

Edinson Cavani

Another belting goal from that man Cavani.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

This hasn't been a good night for Monaco but they have so much going for them. There's another three more competitions left for Leonardo Jardim's side to deliver a trophy.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Thiago Motta will not finish this. PSG find time to squeeze another substitution and it's Brazilian winger Lucas Moura who is coming on for the final moments.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Remember PSG capitulating in the final minutes at Barcelona to go out of the Champions League? No sign of that happening against Monaco. A fourth successive League Cup is in touching distance.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Chances at both ends. Teenage forward Irvin Cardona ripples the side- netting as Monaco go close to pulling a goal back before Angel Di Maria uses the outside of his left boot to force a fine save from Danijel Subasic.

SUBSTITUTION

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Marco Verratti has been excellent for PSG but the Italian midfielder's night is over. Blaise Matuidi is on for the final 10 minutes.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Unai Emery is minutes away from winning his first trophy in charge of PSG. The Spaniard takes a moment to dish out orders to Angel Di Maria as Thiago Silva receives treatment on the pitch.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

No surprise that there are lots of tired legs after the frantic pace of the first half. Lots of gaps appearing in Monaco's defence while PSG, who are keeping the ball well, continue to probe.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

PSG keeper Kevin Trapp is booked for time wasting. The capital club are running down the clock.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Time is running out for Monaco - and their dreams of the quadruple. They've added a sense of urgency to their play but PSG look well in control.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Not since November 2012 have PSG lost a game in this competition. I've got a feeling they are going to extend their unbeaten run. That's some achievement.

SUBSTITUTION

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Both teams have made changes. Julian Draxler has limped off to be replaced by Javier Pastore whole Monaco have sent on Nabil Dirar for Valere Germain.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

PSG are really turning on the style. Layvin Kurzawa pumps another low cross into the Monaco penalty area but he gets his timing all wrong and Edinson Cavani arrives too late to inflict any further damage.

PSG 3-1 Monaco

How did that stay out? Angel Di Maria fizzes the ball into the path of Cavani who must score six-yards out. What. On. Earth. He's missed it.

Sublime from Cavani

PSG 3-1 Monaco

Another delicious goal, another wonderful pass by Marco Verratti who picks out Edinson Cavani with an outside of the boot, swerving pass.

Cavani does what he does best - and swivels to send a low volley past Danijel Subasic. It's a wonderful finish.

Edinson Cavani

Unstoppable volley.

PSG 2-1 Monaco

Decent by Joao Moutinho from the edge of the PSG box but it's just over the bar. Lots of pressing by men in red and white shirts. PSG are content to sit back at the moment and hit their opponents on the break.

PSG 2-1 Monaco

No changes for Monaco who have found themselves out-muscled in midfield. That can't be allowed to continue if they are to find a way back.

KICK-OFF

PSG 2-1 Monaco

Here come the teams. Will Monaco battle their way back into this or will PSG win the French League Cup for a fourth successive season?

We're back under way.

Another final, another trophy?

In the past two years, PSG have won the domestic treble of the French League, French Cup and French League Cup. They're 45 minutes away from winning another final.

PSG 2-1 Monaco

Little from Kylian Mbappe so far. The 18-year-old striker is reported to be on Chelsea's radar but he's struggled to make an impact as Monaco's unique European and domestic quadruple hopes have come under serious threat.

HALF-TIME

PSG 2-1 Monaco

This is a terrific final. You wouldn't bet against more goals in Lyon.

Di Maria strikes for PSG

PSG 2-1 Monaco

What a sickener for Monaco. They have worked so hard to claw their way back into this but are caught out towards the end of the half as Angel Di Maria is left unmarked to toe-poke PSG back into the lead.

Di Maria

GOAL - PSG 2-1 Monaco

Angel Di Maria slots PSG back into the lead.

PSG 1-1 Monaco

PSG will feel they should be ahead but Monaco, thanks to that Subasic save, remain on level terms. That was a superb reflex stop from the Croatian international. Cavani cannot believe that was kept out.

GREAT SAVE!

PSG 1-1 Monaco

Penalty to PSG? Edinson Cavani appears to have his ankle clipped inside the Monaco box but the referee is not interested.

Then Danijel Subasic makes an outrageous saves to deny Cavani from scoring a point-blank range back-heel after Thiago Silva's header from a corner.

You can't take your eyes off this.

PSG 1-1 Monaco

Angel Di Maria has his shirt tugged by Benjamin Mendy but goes down far too easily. The referee is not impressed with the former Manchester United man and awards a free-kick against him.

PSG 1-1 Monaco

This is a terrific final. Monaco, second best for long spells, are suddenly back in it and tempers are beginning to fray. It's getting tetchy with plenty of pushing and shoving between both sets of players.

Lemar

What a beauty from Lemar

PSG 1-1 Monaco

What a stunner from Thomas Lemar. The Monaco midfielder has the ball at his feet 20 yards out and, with PSG's defenders backing off, lets fly. The ball rockets into the back of the net. That was a goal befitting of a major cup final.

PSG 1-0 Monaco

First moment of real alarm inside the PSG box. Valere Germain gets his head on the end of a corner and the ball fizzes across the six-yard area but Jemerson, sliding in, doesn't really commit and a fine chance is gone.

PSG 1-0 Monaco

Marco Verratti's passing is exquisite. He's having a super game and Monaco's defenders have their hands full. The Ligue 1 leaders are second best.

PSG 1-0 Monaco

It's all PSG and it requires a fantastic challenge by Jemerson to stop Edinson Cavani in his tracks inside the Monaco penalty area. Cavani ends up shoving his opponent in frustration and concedes a free-kick.
