I'm going to leave with with Phil McNulty's match report on Chelsea's win over Man City.

Thanks for joining us for a brilliant evening of Premier League action.

Don't forget: Match of the Day, BBC One, 22:45 BST.

Delph proves Guardiola wrong

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Manchester City

More from Pep Guardiola speaking to Match of the Day: "Congrats to Fabian Delph. He showed me how wrong I was not to put him on the field. He never complains."

"Vincent Kompany is so aggressive and it's not easy to come back from injury. I'm so happy for him.

"The Premier League is gone now, it will be between Tottenham and Chelsea. So now we want to the Champions League places."

'I'm a lucky guy'

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "It's an honour to have the amazing players I have. We come here to Stamford Bridge and play the way we have, with huge personality. I'm a lucky guy to manage these guys.

"It's encouraging for the future. I'm optimistic. It's been like this all season but in the boxes we are not good enough. We created enough to score goals. It's our problem. But my players play in one way and that's why I want to be here - to help Man City for years.

"The people who are watching us must be proud of our fans. We did everything."

Mind the gap

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Here's how we are looking after Wednesday's results.

Man City remain fourth, but Arsenal are closing the gap.

Man United, meanwhile, are back in sixth. They love it there.

'They don't need a lot of chances'

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Manchester City

Captain Vincent Kompany on BT Sport: "I can't say I'm disappointed with performance but I'm disappointed we didn't win.

"Physically we stood up to the challenge. You've got to give it to Chelsea, they don't need a lot of chances.

On his deflection for Chelsea's goal: "Maybe if I had a little more hair it would have got further."

Thomas Hollern: If Chelsea were poor then does that mean city were awful? Chelsea did what they had to do, win the game - get 3pts. Job done!

Donald: Eden Hazard's performance tonight was exceptional. The Spanish media will obviously have a lot more to speculate about.

Khalfan: Chelsea showing the rest how you win the league by beating the big teams.

'We are ready for everything'

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Chelsea

Goalscorer Eden Hazard on BT Sport: "It's a big win of course. It wasn't beautiful but the most important thing was winning games. After a defeat it's great to come back here and win.

It's always a real battle against City. Thibaut made a mistake on the goal but it wasn't his fault. He made great saves. We are luck to have him in the team.

"There's a long way to go but we are ready for everything."

An unwanted record for Pep

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Pep Guardiola has now suffered six league defeats in a single season for the first time in his managerial career.

And perhaps a more stand-out stat: It's the first time he's lost both league games against a single opponent in one season.

Ouch.

Chelsea have answered every question that has been thrown at them this season.

It hasn't been comfortable - there has been tension around the stadium tonight.

The results are in...

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Bar one, anyway.

Tottenham came from behind in injury time to beat Swansea 3-1 so Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League remains seven points.

It's a sitter from John Stones! I can't believe he has missed that - he can't believe he has missed that!

He was slightly un-sighted but he has to score from that range.

CLOSE!

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

JOHN STONES. How did he miss from there?!

The Man City defender is about three yards out and scuffs the ball over the bar. It looks like his legs got tangled.

Late drama here?

GREAT SAVE!

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Nolito's sensational ball in reaches Sergio Aguero and as he tries to poke home, Courtois blocks it with his knees.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Fernandinho tries to curl the ball in from wide out on the right but David Luiz intercepts before it can reach Sergio Aguero.

The ball is bouncing around as Chelsea try to clear their lines.

When they do, they make their final change - two-goal Eden Hazard comes off and Ruben Loftus-Cheek comes on.

We are into three minutes of injury time.

City just look like they have run out of gas - the introduction of Willian has given Chelsea a new lease of life here.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Chelsea are pushing forward, and Man City look like they've run out of steam.

But their manager looks alive! Pep Guardiola comes out of his technical area and on to the pitch, to flick a dead ball to one of his players.

He's still got it.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Nolito replaces Leroy Sane for the visitors.

YELLOW CARD

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Vincent Kompany gets a yellow card for a rash challenge on Eden Hazard.

Although the booking isn't ideal, it's great to see the Man City captain could complete 90 minutes for the first time in the league this season.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Sergio Aguero tries to turn the ball in from a very tight angle but it hits the side netting.

Chelsea change coming up. Cesc Fabregas makes way for Willian.

Incredible fight back coming from Spurs in Swansea tonight - shows they are going to push Chelsea all the way.

Chelsea are going to have to step up if they are going to hold on to this lead - they have been poor tonight.

City are getting the rough end of the decisions from Mike Dean here.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Raheem Sterling ON, Kevin De Bruyne OFF for Man City.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

A lovely move by Chelsea! Hazard flies down the left, finds Pedro on the right who cuts the ball back in and it falls to Hazard again who can only pelt it over the bar.

He should have done better, really.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Twenty minutes left to play and no substitutions for Man City as yet.

Pep Guardiola is signalling wildly in the technical area to Aguero, but I wouldn't dare try and work out what he's saying via his animated arms.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Diego Costa receives a body block from Vincent Kompany and David Luiz lines up a free-kick to the left of goal for Chelsea. It's about 25-yards out.

It hits the wall.

As you were.

John Davies: We have got passing, possession and pace. But no product to show for it! Frustrating watching City this year!

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Chelsea are really being pinned back by Man City at the moment.

Can the visitors get the equaliser they deserve?

CLOSE!

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

John Stones gets a free header from close range but Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois gathers in his over-sized gloves.

At the other end, Pedro tries his luck with a right-footed effort but Willy Caballero grasps it.

I just cannot understand how David Silva didn't get that free-kick for his team rather than conceding it.

Pep Guardiola is going absolutely mad on the touchline and understandably so.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

One word to describe Pep Guardiola right now: Apoplectic.

He is livid with referee Mike Dean, as he awards Chelsea a free-kick which he thinks should have gone David Silva's way.

Guardiola's counterpart Antonio Conte gets involved and tries to calm him down.

That free-kick was a bit weird.

Kevin de Bruyne lays it off to Leroy Sane but it's got too much force on it and he loses control.

In the end it goes out for a corner, which also comes to nothing.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Fabian Delph is back-heeling and flicking all over the place tonight. Quite the pair of dancing feet.

Man City push forward again and David Silva is caught by Nemanja Matic on the edge of the area. The visitors have a free-kick about 25-yards out...

Some magnificent gesticulation from both managers - a particularly impressive arms-outstretched dance from Pep Guardiola as he demands more width from Manchester City.

Meanwhile, in the stands, former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri remains impassive.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Lovely passing play from Manchester City goes to waste as Leroy Sane tries to back-heel to a team-mate on the edge of the area but there's no-one around.

And now a foul throw by Chelsea! Is it me, or are they becoming more and more common in the Premier League this season?

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

David Silva whips in a free-kick from the left, and after a lovely kick-back from Fabian Delph, Fernandinho hits wildly over the bar from close range.

Now Gael Clichy hauls down Pedro and Chelsea have a free-kick on the right-hand side. Clichy becomes the first player to go in Mike Dean's book, and the free-kick comes to nothing.

Vincent Kompany has been outstanding tonight.

Manchester City have got someone there who will save them £60m to replace if he were to get back up to the level of fitness he was two or three seasons ago.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Moments after the restart, David Silva takes a heavy whack to the knee from little N'Golo Kante.

The former Leicester man holds his hands up and gets a talking to from Mike Dean, but there's no yellow card.

Man City earn a free-kick about 35-yards out. It's delivered in by De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany dives for it, but heads it on to the top of the crossbar from out wide on the left.

KICK-OFF

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

We are back under way at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made one change - Nemanja Matic has come on for Kurt Zouma.

The Blues are back to the line-up they started with in their defeat by Palace.

Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Brought back into the side by Pep Guardiola, midfielder Fabian Delph has made quite an impact.

The former Leeds and Aston Villa player had 69 touches of the ball in that first half, which was more than any other player on the pitch.
