Sporting Gijon 2-3 Real Madrid

It's all over. Real Madrid go six points clear at the top of La Liga - until Barcelona play Real Sociedad later anyway - thanks to Isco's last-minute goal.

They had to come from behind twice.

Sporting Gijon remain five points adrift of safety.

Thanks for joining us today for our live coverage of this game. See you in a couple of hours for the Barca game.

Real are keeping the ball in the corner to eat up time.

There were three minutes added on. We're towards the end of that now.

Isco surely wins game for Real

Real Madrid were in danger of giving Barcelona renewed title hope. But as the clock hit 90 minutes, Isco has probably won the game for the European champions.

He's been the star man today and this is his second goal.

Substitute Marcelo finds him outside the box, and the Spanish midfielder smashes it home into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.

GOAL - Sporting Gijon 2-3 Real Madrid

A huge goal in the title race.

Alvaro Morata got booked for something he said there.

From the corner, Real Madrid want a penalty as the ball is kicked at Jean-Sylvain Babin's hand. That would have been very harsh.

Marco Asensio has a shot deflected for Real Madrid. Corner.

Sporting's Nacho Cases fouls Isco. Yellow card. But Ivan Cuellar is able to hold onto the resulting free-kick. Time running out.

Real Madrid are pressing but Sporting Gijon's defence are holding firm.

Real Madrid have a corner, we're into the final 10 minutes, but Mariano heads over the bar.

Sporting bring off goalscorer Duje Cop for Cameroon youngster Dani Ndi.

Real Madrid are leaving gaps at the back but Sporting can't take advantage.

Sporting defender Isma Lopez is booked for a late challenge on Nacho.

Real's James Rodriguez fizzes a shot wide from just outside the box. A draw isn't a disaster for Real Madrid, but a win would be a whole lot better...

For a moment it looks like Isco might score a goal for the ages. He dances past a host of defenders with side-steps, maybe four or five, think that Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal in his Ajax days, but he eventually bites off more than he can chew and Sporting get the ball.

Real Madrid bring on once-capped Dominican Republic striker Mariano for Lucas Vazquez.

Sporting Gijon bring on Nacho Cases - one of my favourite names in football - for Moi Gomez.

It's been a very open game. Moments ago, Real had the ball in the back of the net after hitting the post but they were offside.

And now Alvaro Morata forces a save from Ivan Cuellar with a header.

Alvaro Morata

Chances at both ends as Danilo heads wide for Real Madrid and Isma Lopez curls an effort wide for Sporting.

Morata heads Real Madrid level

Real Madrid have equalised for the second time. Alvaro Morata has been quiet today but he gets his head onto Danilo's cross and beats Sporting keeper Ivan Cuellar.

Real Madrid make their first change - Marcelo comes on for Fabio Coentrao at left-back.

This was Coentrao's first La Liga start of the season.

James Rodriguez has a chance to equalise but his effort from 20 yards is held by goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar.

A reminder that Real Madrid don't even have Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale (who is injured) or Karim Benzema on the bench.

Mariano and Luka Modric are their main attacking options.

This lead has lasted longer than their last one already.

Real Madrid trail again

Mikel Vesga assisted the opener and now he scores Sporting Gijon's second with a brilliant header.

Jean-Sylvain Babin heads a cross back across goal, which Vesga gets his header onto - it loops up into the air, over keeper Kiko Casilla and into the top corner.

How are Real Madrid not ahead here? James Rodriguez whips in a free-kick and Nacho heads towards goal but Ivan Cuellar makes a fantastic save to keep it out.

The second half = under way.

Cagliari 4-0 Chievo

Fiorentina 1-2 Empoli

Genoa 2-2 Lazio

Palermo 0-0 Bologna

Pescara 0-2 Juventus

Roma 1-1 Atalanta

Torino 1-1 Crotone

As things stand, Real Madrid are four points above Barcelona - having played the same amount of games. Although Barcelona play Real Sociedad today.

Sporting Gijon would close the gap on safety to four points, but with all 17th-placed Leganes having a game in hand.

Sporting Gijon 1-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid ended the half attacking, with plenty of whistles from home fans. We're level at the break.

Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao, making his first La Liga start of the season, puts in a great cross from the left but nobody is there to turn it home.

Lucas Vazquez cuts in from the right and fires a shot over for Real Madrid.

Marco Asensio was laying injured on the ground during the move, but he's up now.

Lucas Vazquez

Sporting's Sergio Alvarez is caught dawdling on the ball by Marco Asensio and he has to commit a foul to try to make up for it. Yellow card.

Real Madrid keeper Kiko Casilla does well to deny Carlos Carmona after Real defender Nacho switched off.

Robert AE Simon: Too early to state. The end of the match and Champions League on Tuesday will present facts for this case. #Adjourned

Here we go. Facts arriving. Exhibit 1a. Sporting score within 15 minutes.

Facts arriving. Exhibit 1b. Isco equalizes 3 minutes after conceding.

Robert has been tweeting in regularly today so far!

Lucas Vazquez crosses from the right and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who seems to be playing on the left side today, heads over under pressure from a defender.

Real Madrid defender Nacho catches Duje Cop late on the halfway line but avoids a yellow card. Remember he's a booking away from missing El Clasico.
