FULL-TIME

Chelsea 5-1 Sunderland

Emphatic. The Champions have won a record 30th game and said goodbye to John Terry in style.

It's been emotional.

GOAL - Chelsea 5-1 Sunderland

Michy Batshuayi

He's done it again! Make that five goals in three games for Michy Batshuayi, who fires home into the top corner following Fabregas' pass.

What a way to sign off a title-winning season!

Cake, say hello to a cherry on top.

Michy Batshuayi makes it three goals in three games at the end of the season with a close-range finish after latching on to Pedro's pass.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland

Sunderland give Darron Gibson a final few minutes of Premier League football to savour, sending him on for Lee Cattermole.

Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland

Diego Costa is enjoying himself down on the Chelsea bench. He has his cap on, entertaining some of the players not involved in the game. All the hard work has been down. Time to bask in the achievement.

Speaking of which, Antonio Conte responds to his name being sung with applause to all sides. Popular man.

Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland

The game is at walking pace now as Chelsea stroke the ball around to cheers from the home fans. It is party time.

GOAL - Chelsea 3-1 Sunderland

Pedro

Signed, sealed, delivered. A record 30th win it is for Chelsea.

Pedro is the scorer, but the architect is the unfortunate Joleon Lescott, whose full Sunderland debut is tarnished by a backward header over his own keeper from a long ball forward from Fabregas to set Pedro up for a simple nodded finish.

Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland

Sunderland are chasing shadows. This is a meek way for their Premier League stay to come to an end.

Pedro lines up a shot but flashes it well wide from range.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland

A standing ovation for Eden Hazard, who departs to be replaced by Pedro. He has had a great season after a shocker the campaign before.

Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland

Oh, so nearly an own goal. Victor Moses turns one way and then the next before firing over a cross that is flashed past the post and behind by the swinging boot of Jack Rodwell. The corner comes to nothing.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland

This is interesting. Diego Costa leaves the field with waves to all sides of the ground. Could that be an 'thanks lads, I'm off'? There has been plenty of rumours linking him with a move to China.

He might not have signed off with a goal, but his final act was to set up Hazard's goal. Not a bad silver medal.

Michy Batshuayi replaces him.

Sunderland also make a change, sending on Lynden Gooch for Adnan Januzaj.

GOAL - Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland

Eden Hazard

Eden! Great goal! The control from Diego Costa is superb, his pass precise and Eden Hazard does the rest, finding space before lashing a fierce shot across goal and in to the far corner. Brilliant.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

We're going to see Michy Batshuayi soon. He is stripped and ready to go.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

This is much more like it from Moses, who drives in to the box, past a man, and then fires a low cross right across the face of goal and just in front of the diving David Luiz.

Sunderland have barely been out of their own half since the break. Or before it, for that matter.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Victor Moses won't want to see this shot again. He cuts in from the left and slices his shot out for a throw-in on the far side. Not quite Geoff Thomas against France but pretty bad.

Final Score pundits: Terry's guard of honour 'contrived'
Final Score pundits Kevin Kilbane, Martin Keown and Garth Crooks seem bemused after John Terry is granted a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge during their match against Sunderland.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Courtois to the rescue. Sunderland threaten from a corner as the ball is swung in and met by the head of Jack Rodwell, but the home keeper is down quickly to palm away.

YELLOW CARD

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

This is the tackle of a man who has been done like a kipper. Billy Jones upends Eden Hazard after the Belgian jinks away from him.

KICK-OFF

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

So, 45 minutes left. The second half is under way.

'Chelsea are worthy champions'

Chelsea v Sunderland (15:00 BST)

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore on BBC Sportsweek: “Chelsea have given us a coaching masterclass in many ways. If you think where they were in September, nobody could see what was then going to happen.

“Through they have come, they have played brilliantly and the coach has been fantastic to watch – the enthusiasm – and when they take that trophy today no one is going to deny they are very worthy champions.”

Balance of play

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

I think it would be fair to say that Chelsea have dominated that half...

HALF-TIME

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

The whistle blows. It has been emotional, but not entirely gripping.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

One minute of stoppage time? Surely that guard of honour took longer than that?!

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Sunderland should be ahead. A free-kick is swung into the box and half-cleared by a diving home defender but only as far as John O'Shea, whose shot is weak and straight at Courtois. Sunderland would probably have preferred that to fall to any other player.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

It remains attack v defence. Eden hazard darts to the edge of the box before spreading play wide to Cesc Fabregas, but his cross is lazy and straight to Pickford in the Sunderland goal.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Diego Costa is back into the action, this time turning and dragging a shot from an angle across goal and wide.

YELLOW CARD

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Diego Costa is not happy. He feels he has been struck in the face by John O'Shea. To be honest, they were both at it. Costa is just more melodramatic in his response and looked to have started it.

The striker is the man who goes into the book.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Chelsea remain the dominant force in the game but there is not much urgency. Another home corner is floated harmlessly into the hands of Jordan Pickford.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Oh, inches in it. Willian's deflected shot from the edge of the box, coming at the end of a superb move, bounces just past the far post.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

The game continues after that little interlude and carries on with Chelsea on the front foot. Willian's angled shot flies across goal and wide.

SUBSTITUTION

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Wait, what?! John Terry is coming off. Because it is the 26th minute. And he wears number 26.

I'm all for showing respect for great club players but this is a bit odd, right? He's even getting a guard of honour from his own team as he departs in tears. We are still playing a game of football?

Still, a great player who has more than earned this (admittedly weird) moment in the spotlight.

Gary Cahill replaces him.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

It is on final days of the season like this that strange things happen, like Lee Cattermole scoring. He won't be doing it with shots like that, though. He is 35 yards out and almost finds the roof the stand.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

The onslaught continues. David Luiz's shot is deflected wide before the same player rises highest to head the resulting corner wide.

This ain't ending 1-1.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Chelsea are playing some lovely stuff. They are in second gear here but are still well on top.

Three corners on the trot result in the ball being crossed low for Diego Costa, whose touch lets him down before Victor Moses fires over.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Another good chance goes begging. David Luiz takes and finds Diego Costa, who has got in behind the Sunderland defence but volleys wide from an angle.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

It is all Chelsea now. They are moving the ball at speed with Sunderland becoming increasingly cone like in their lack of movement.

Another free-kick incoming. David Luiz fancies it...

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Chelsea should be ahead. Sunderland are so deep they are practically sat in the 15th row behind the goal as the Blues pour forward and send over a low cross that is missed by Diego Costa and just behind Eden Hazard, who can't turn and score.

Soon after, Marcos Alonso lashes a shot that Pickford palms away.

Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Goals are flying in everywhere. My 26 sweepstake bid is starting to look woefully conservative.

GOAL - Chelsea 1-1 Sunderland

Willian

Well, that Sunderland lead didn't last long. After Marcos Alonso's free-kick strikes the bar, Chelsea keep the attack alive, return the ball to the box and benefit from Sunderland's inability to clear as David Luiz spreads wide to Willian who lashes the ball under Jordan Pickford and in.

Chelsea 0-1 Sunderland

Now Chelsea have a free-kick. Eden Hazard is sent tumbling by Jack Rodwell, who looked to get the ball but doesn't get the decision. This is well within shooting distance...
