Farewell for now

We had goals galore again in the League Cup, with 47 in 14 ties today.

Partick Thistle, Dunfermline and Albion Rovers were the biggest scorers, each banging in five.

Only one penalty shoot-out and Hamilton sneaked that one, despite missing their first two efforts.

Thanks for joining us and enjoy the rest of your Saturday.

Coming thick and fast

So, what next?

There is a League Cup game tomorrow, with Dundee United at home to Cowdenbeath.

On Tuesday, there are another 15 ties.

How do the groups look?

If you want to check out how today's results leave the eight groups, have a look at the tables here.

There are a few very tight sections and some Premiership teams have work to do to ensure progress.

FT: Partick Thistle 5-0 St Mirren

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald on BBC Sportsound:

"I thought we played some really good stuff, zipping the ball around. The only dampner on it was the red card [for Abdul Osman], which I thought was a bit soft.

"Blair Spittal brings a lot of quality and we just need to give him the platform to get the best out of him."

FT: Inverness CT 0-2 Falkirk

Robbo talked about getting rid of two players to bring in five at Inverness Caley Thistle.

The Sportsound team are guessing David Raven and Owain Fon Williams are the high earners the manager is referring to.

FT: Inverness CT 0-2 Falkirk

"We need much more from everyone," says Inverness CT boss John Robertson. "That level of performance in the first half was unacceptable. Too many players here know they are going to be selected because we are light on bodies.

"I won't accept a lack of passion and desire - and that's what happened in the first half."

FT: Dunfermline 5-1 Peterhead

A comprehensive win, which sets up a fascinating visit to Tynecastle next weekend. Unbeaten Dunfermline have now scored 11 goals in their three cup games

FT: Inverness CT 0-2 Falkirk

Falkirk manager Peter Houston on BBC Sportsound:

"We scored two great goals and maybe could have scored more in the first half. Inverness pushed on after the interval but we couldn't capitalise on the space behind their full-backs.

"We have a bit more pace in our front line this season, so we can get in behind teams."

Osman had been cautioned for a challenge on McGinn moments earlier and will now sit out the rest of the match.
