It'll be their first defeat under Daniel Farke.

It's all Norwich now. They're camped in the Sunderland half, but they're in to stoppage now and there will be at least five minutes added on.

Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Norwich win a 12th corner, this time through Josh Murphy. They're giving it a real go, but they might not have enough time left. This time Marley Watkins sees his volleyed effort blocked.

SUBSTITUTIONS (Sunderland)

Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Lewis Grabban
Rex Features

Either side of another Norwich corner, Sunderland take off both of their goalscorers, as first Aiden McGeady is replaced by Lynden Gooch and then Lewis Grabban comes off as well, with John O'Shea coming on.

HITS THE WOODWORK

Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Russell Martin hits the post for Norwich from a narrow angle! Good chance!

Moments later, Sunderland's Tyias Browning knocks the ball behind for a Norwich corner. The game is becoming stretched now with the Canaries committing plenty of players forward.

Jason Steele punches the corner away for the visitors.

Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Norwich have around eight minutes plus stoppage time left to try and complete a remarkable comeback. It's a tough ask.

SUBSTITUTION (Norwich)

Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Moments before that goal, Norwich made their third and final change, with Wes Hoolahan replacing Steven Naismith.

GOAL - Norwich 1-3 Sunderland

Lewis Grabban own goal

James Maddison's free-kick is headed back across Sunderland's box and, as the visitors fail to clear it, Lewis Grabban inadvertently puts the ball into his own net for an own goal.

Is there time for Norwich to fight back after all?

SUBSTITUTION (Sunderland)

Norwich 0-3 Sunderland

The visitors make their first change and on comes Darron Gibson for Lee Cattermole in midfield.

There's a substitution full of Premier League experience, if ever I saw one...

Norwich 0-3 Sunderland

Sunderland celebrate

It was a brilliant cross in from McGeady and a well-time header from an unmarked Lewis Grabban, less than six yards out.

GOAL - Norwich 0-3 Sunderland

Lewis Grabban

It's all over now! Former Norwich man Lewis Grabban has his second of the afternoon after good work from Aiden McGeady again, who sent over a perfect cross.

Simon Grayson's men are in dreamland at Carrow Road. Who honestly saw this scoreline coming?

Not me, after the first half an hour, that's for sure.

SUBSTITUTION (Norwich)

Norwich 0-2 Sunderland

The Norwich fans who have been joining in with the #bbcefl chat get their wish, as Nelson Oliveira comes on for Cameron Jerome.

Can he be the Canaries' hero for a second week running?

Norwich 0-2 Sunderland

This scoreline will be raising quite a few eyebrows in the EFL.

I saw many, many people write Sunderland off and not even list them among the promotion contenders this season, following their relegation last term and a summer of uncertainty.

But an away win at Carrow Road would be a very solid statement, in this very early part of the season.

Norwich 0-2 Sunderland

Aiden McGeady
PA

Aiden McGeady's goal is his first for Sunderland, after moving to the club for an undisclosed fee in July.

Kid Presentable: Need to get Nelson Oliveira on. Destined to score similar to last week.

Quite a few Norwich fans seem to be thinking along the same lines on that one.

SUBSTITUTION (Norwich)

Norwich 0-2 Sunderland

Immediately, Norwich make a change. Josh Murphy is coming on for Yanic Wildschut.

GOAL - Norwich 0-2 Sunderland

Aiden McGeady

Aiden McGeady

Game over? Sunderland score against the run of play again!

Aiden McGeady finds the top corner from the edge of the area with a left-foot screamer. It's a cracking finish.

Clinical. Sunderland could well be heading for three points.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

James Maddison's out-swinging corner for Norwich is eventually cleared behind for another Canaries corner.

The second sees Russell Martin get to the far post for a diving header, but it goes wide.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Norwich waste the resultant free-kick, taking it too quickly, but moments later the hosts have a corner.

YELLOW CARD (Sunderland)

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Moments after almost making it 2-0, James Vaughan is booked for a poor challenge on Norwich's Yanic Wildschut on the touchline. He knew was he was doing there, stopping a Canaries move in its tracks.

Your season so far

Michael Fitzgerald: As a Southend fan, a worrying time. Yes 2-1 opening win v Blackburn, since when humbled by Newport and destroyed by Rotherham.

Nathan Loveridge: As a Cardiff fan we look secure at the back and dangerous going forward. We're not being talked about but let's see what happens.

Wolf Haines: We (Yeovil) got hammered 8-2 on opening day, yet find ourselves sat handsomely at mid table after 3-2 win yesterday. Joys of August.

KICK-OFF

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Play gets back under way for the second half. Can Norwich turn this around?

No changes for either side at the break.

Tony Bellamy: Same again from Sunderland for the second half. Making good progress with Simon Grayson. Haway the lads!

Geoff Ramm: Sat in a sleepy Cornish pub sipping cider and just woken the place up with that Grabban goal.

Sunderland fans seem happy so far. And why not?

HT: Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

The players are heading back out for the second half and we'll be back under way shortly.

Your season so far

I've been asking for your thoughts on your team's season so far. Here's what some of you have been saying:

Andy Brown: Chesterfield need new owners, a new manager, better players and to stop conceding... Other than that, it's going well.

John Escott: As a Villa fan, what do you think?!

What I'm enjoying there folks is the positivity... It's only 13 August! You poor things. I feel for you.

Derby day in League One

Wigan v Bury (15:00 BST)

There's one other match in the EFL today - it's in League One, where Wigan host neighbours Bury.

Bury have just announced the signing of former Hull defender Alex Bruce on non-contract terms, and he'll start for the Shakers this afternoon.

Look out for a report of the game on the BBC Sport website and app later.

Time to call for Nelson?

HT: Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Nelson Oliveira
Empics

Nelson Oliveira is on the Norwich bench today - could he be the man to turn the match in the Canaries' favour?

The Portuguese striker made a superb impact as a sub last weekend, scoring a late equaliser at Fulham.

His goal celebration - peeling off his shirt to show boss Daniel Farke his name and number - got a bit of attention.

I'm sure he'll be putting his hand up again if Norwich still find themselves behind as the second half progresses.

HT: Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Despite trailing, Norwich go off at the break to applause from their home fans.

They played some neat football in the first 30 minutes. There are some positives for them.

HALF-TIME

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

There's the end of the opening 45 minutes. Sunderland lead thanks to Lewis Grabban's calm first-time finish, against his old club.

Sunderland celebrate
PA

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Just one minute of added time is added on at the end of this first half.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Sunderland have a free-kick in a dangerous position and Aiden McGeady fires it in towards the back post but no one can get on the end of it. That was close.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

George Honeyman - who excelled in Sunderland's win at Bury on Thursday - has a chance to shoot from close range after Lee Cattermole's ball in to him, but Angus Gunn makes the save.

Sunderland have certainly come on stronger since taking the lead against the run of play.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Norwich are almost in a spot of bother at the back again, but Angus Gunn gets down bravely to dive on the ball before Lewis Grabban can get there.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland

Simon Grayson
PA

Unbeaten as Sunderland boss and winning at Carrow Road... Simon Grayson's side haven't seen much of the ball but this first-half scoreline suits them very nicely indeed.

Norwich 0-1 Sunderland
