So, a goalless draw for Brendan Rodgers' side against Rosenborg. The sides meet next Wednesday in what promises to be a tense second leg.

Thanks for your company tonight, we're back tomorrow for Aberdeen's Europa League qualifier against Apollon Limassol at Pittodrie.

Hope you can join us then. Cheers.

Rosenborg impress...

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

"Rosenborg grew into the game and you've got to be impressed by how they kept the ball," says former Celtic striker Scott McDonald.

"Celtic put you under a lot of pressure and they play a high-press game.

"They [Rosenborg] dealt with that really well after about 20 minutes. Celtic needed Rosenborg to come out a bit more..."

'Not doom and gloom'

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

"Celtic gave up so many chances in this match. Our analysis is reflecting the number of chances they gave up and how fortunate they are to be 0-0 going into the second leg.

"It's not doom and gloom but you'd like to see Leigh Griffiths back and you don't want to see Celtic giving up chances like that again."

Griffiths to feature in Norway?

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

"Well I can't think too much about that [the lack of a striker against Rosenborg] because we don't have one. It's as simple as that.

"So we need to worry about other ways in which we can find solutions to score goals. We had enough pressure in and around the box - just missing that wee final pass - but that comes from the time of the season as well.

"I was really pleased with the players tonight and, for large parts, had control of the game. Of course, they're a good sidem and you can see that.

"For us, of course we're frustrated we didn't get the win but we're absolutely fine because we know we ca go there and win. We actually score more goals away from home."

Celtic will hope Leigh Griffiths is available for next week's second leg in Norway

Asked whether he expected Leigh Griffiths to be fit for the return leg, Rodgers said: "I don't know. We'll see how he is over the next few days and we'll assess it from there."

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

"Nil-Nil in European football is never a bad result. I was delighted with the players in relation to, you think we're playing without strikers, I thought their control of the game was excellent, in particular the first half.

"This [Rosenborg] is a team that's halfway through their season and a really good level of fitness. You could see that."

"Taking everything into account: the time of the season, the level of our game, it was just that last little around the edge of the box.

"It's important that you don't concede, we didn't concede and now we know they'll come out a little bit more in the second leg. And we know we score goals away from home."

'Celtic will go through'

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

I still think Celtic will go through and they'll be much better next week. They'll have to be sharper and I think they'll come out on top.

Celtic survive 'horrendous night'

Tom English

Chief sports writer, BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

"In terms of chances created, Rosenborg were miles ahead of Celtic. Four outstanding moments that they could've converted. As it is, Celtic have survived a horrendous night."

Celtic struggled to create anything of note against Rosenborg

"It does open the debate: why does a club like Celtic, with the ambitions they have, only have two strikers? They had no goal threat and no centre forward."

FULL-TIME Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Celtic have been frustrated by the Norwegian champions who proved impressive in defence but profligate in front of goal in the second half. One consolation for Brendan Rodgers is that Craig Gordon's reflexes prevented the visitors from netting.

All to play for in Norway next Wednesday...

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Celtic captain Scott Brown fires in a shot at goal, saved by Hansen, and the midfielder is hobbling after being caught as he got the shot away.

'Bendtner has his head in his hands'

"Another brilliant chance from Rosenborg. Bendtner holds his head in his hands after making a hash of it. A draw is the most Celtic deserve at this stage."

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Australian international Tom Rogic so often has magic in his boots but the mercurial midfielder blazes a shot high over the bar.

Moments later, Nicklas Bendtner can't get anything on a low, menacing cross. This Champions League qualifier is opening up nicely as we head into the final 15 minutes.

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Celtic have to keep the momentum up and hopefully take one of these chances. They've also got to keep Rosenborg in their own half.

'Collective sigh of relief'

Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Tom English

Chief sports writer, BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

"Huge moments these for Celtic's season. Rosenborg should be ahead, no question. Their confidence is growing and Celtic are stuck in a rut and looking vulnerable at the back. They need to find themselves pretty quickly. Jonny Hayes might help.

"He's on now You could definitely hear a gasp when the ball found its way to Yann-Erik de Lanlay right in front of the Celtic goal - and then an enormous, collective sigh of relief when he scooped it over. A huge, huge let-off."

Celtic corner. Olivier Ntcham gets his header on target but it's a looping effort. The ball drops to James Forrest but the winger's shot spins out harmlessly for a goal kick.

Rosenborg are showing more adventure than they displayed in the opening 45 and Celtic will be hoping to exploit extra space when they hit them on the counter attack.

With a short corner, Stuart Armstrong dinks it to Scott Brown and the Celtic captain whips in a centre but there's more frustration for the hosts as referee Tiago Martins blows for a foul on Rosenborg keeper Andre Hansen.

Celtic begin the second half like they ended the first half: plenty of possession but the final ball continues to let them down on the edge of the area.
