Well that's it from us. I can't sit around here chit chatting all night when there's an EFL Cup draw to be had at 04:15 BST.

I trust I'll see you all at the same time?

Cheerio for now.

Stoke 4-0 Rochdale

Juliette Ferrington

BBC Radio 5 live

Mark Hughes' post-match cuppa was a bit too hot for him to hold during our chat. He told me Stoke didn't have any real moments of anxiety or panic during the tie. It was all very comfortable.

"All in all it was a very satisfying evening. The important thing is you don't take liberties with the opposition and we never did that at any point in the proceedings. We're in a good place at the moment and everybody is enjoying what's happening here at the moment."

Getting up at 04:15 BST?

Well that was exciting. At least we don't have long to wait for the third-round draw. Just the six hours...

Worrying times for Newcastle?

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Ian Wright

Former Arsenal & England striker on 5 live

"This was an opportunity for the so-called second string players to stake a claim. Rafael Benitez was looking for someone to inspire and it didn't happen.

"If it carries on like this Newcastle have a very good chance of going back down."

FULL-TIME

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

All over!

Nottingham Forest knock Newcastle out and the Championship side are into round three.

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

... but Newcastle get the ball back and win an injury-time corner, from which Mo Diame powers a header over.

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Seconds left. As things stand, Newcastle are heading out.

Nottingham Forest's Daryl Murphy takes the ball towards the corner flag...

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Time running out for Newcastle - just six minutes for them to avoid a third straight defeat of the season. Finish like this won't help their cause as Jacob Murphy whacks a shot from a corner so high it almost lands on the roof.

'A win is a win'

Huddersfield 2-1 Rotherham

Huddersfield boss David Wagner: "We started slowly and conceded, but for 75 minutes we did well. We created good moments and scored good goals.

"In the EFL Cup a win is a win. We came from behind and showed a good fighting attitude. Rotation worked out tonight."

CLOSE!

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Oh no! Or oh Mo even!

Mo Diame is blocked by his own team-mate Matt Ritchie just as he looked certain to score.

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Achraf Lazaar has a pop from distance for Newcastle but the strike is very much a defender's one and is no danger to the Nottingham Forest keeper.

Newcastle are still looking for their first win in the Premier League this season and this extra time will not be welcome with West Ham visiting on Saturday.

KICK-OFF

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Back under way for the final 15 minutes of this game.

Newcastle have made a change with new signing Joselu on for Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Southampton 0-2 Wolves

John Southall

BBC Radio 5 live at St Mary's

We await the two managers at St Mary's, a fully deserved victory for Wolves who made 11 changes and in the second half looked like the only side who'd win it.

A worrying defeat for Southampton, let's not forget this was a strong team but last year's finalists created next to nothing in the second half and can have no complaints about the scoreline.

HALF-TIME IN EXTRA TIME

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Time running out for Newcastle. Nottingham Forest have possession around halfway and are quite happy to keep it there.

Cheltenham 0-2 West Ham

Tom Garry

BBC Sport at the LCI Rail Stadium

Cheltenham's exit confirms that there will be no League Two sides in Thursday's third-round draw. It hasn't been an EFL Cup to remember for many lower-league sides, although the Robins acquitted themselves respectfully well tonight.

Stoke 4-0 Rochdale

Newcastle 2-3 Nottm Forest

Newcastle attempt an immediate response but Mo Diame heads over from Matt Ritchie's ball.

West Ham get the job done. Cheltenham had their moments, but it was ultimately relatively comfortable for the Premier League side.

HITS THE WOODWORK

Stoke 3-0 Rochdale

Juliette Ferrington

BBC Radio 5 live

Oh.My.Days. That was close for Josh Tymon. It was almost a beaut from the 18 year old on his debut for Stoke. Chipped the ball from distance, it looked like it was going in, only for the ball to clip the top of the bar and bounce over. Good, good chance.

DISALLOWED GOAL

Huddersfield 2-1 Rotherham

Rotherham fans are celebrating what they think is an equaliser as Will Vaulks heads in a free-kick. No goal, though, as the referee spots a foul inside the area.

Newcastle 2-2 Nottm Forest

Tyler Walker attempts to win this one on his own as he takes the ball up from inside his own half to the edge of the Newcastle area before he is brought down.

Crouchy has competition

Stoke 3-0 Rochdale

Juliette Ferrington

BBC Radio 5 live

There was a standing ovation for Kurt Zouma tonight - the fans have quickly warmed to him and clearly like him a lot. He's been replaced by Harry Souttar who's an absolute giant. He's 18 years old and came down from Scotland after leaving Dundee United for the Premier League in September last year.

SUBSTITUTION

Southampton 0-1 Wolves

Southampton have about 10 minutes to get themselves level and they add some fresh legs in attack. On comes Shane Long for Charlie Austin.

SUBSTITUTION

Newcastle 2-2 Nottm Forest

As it stands only this game is going to extra time. Rafael Benitez wants things wrapped up in 90, however. He's sending on Matt Ritchie for Rolando Aarons.

Cheltenham 0-2 West Ham

Steve Claridge

Ex-Leicester striker, BBC Radio 5 live at RCI Rail Stadium

I think Pell surprised Holman by actually getting the ball across goal.

CLOSE!

Cheltenham 0-2 West Ham

Cheltenham go agonisingly close to pulling a goal back but Dan Holman just can't quite reach a cross by Harry Pell with an open goal in front of him.
