Newcastle have won a Premier League match!*
*For the first time since October
The flag goes up though against Andy Carroll - it looked like a foul.
This is it.
Free kick fro West Ham.
50 yards from goal.
There are four minutes of stoppage time.
Benitez opts to waste a bit of it by bringing on Jacob Murphy to replace Christian Atsu.
Three mins plus added time.
West Ham haven't got long.
Is it 'launch into mixer' time?
Newcastle just about clear.
By the way they've brought on Chancel Mbemba to replace Henri Saivet.
They need to bolster that backline with five minutes remaining.
West Ham have a free-kick on the left near the area.
Andy Carroll looks hungry - he's slavering, perhaps.
There are 12 minutes remaining. The Hammers are applying a huge amount of pressure.
Pedro Obiang smacks one from 20 yards which sails over.
Javier Hernandez comes on for goalscorer (and pen misser) Andre Ayew.
Do not leave this screen.
Newcastle's Ayoze Perez comes on for Dwight Gayle.
Good shift by Gayle.
Missed from four yards though.
Former Mag Andy Carroll has made a huge difference since coming on.
He's held up the ball brilliantly, as expected, and just seconds ago appealed for a penalty in the area although Lee Mason judged him to be the aggressor in that situation.
Like I said.
A corner from the left is flung into the area and finds the head of Andy Carroll, whose effort is blocked by Rob Elliot at the near post.
However, the ball lands at the feet of Andre Ayew, who lashes in from four yards.
Five goals so far!
How do you all feel?
If there is some solace Hammers fans, it's that against Newcastle you always have more than a chance.
The festive period!!
West Ham's Pablo Zabaleta and Pedro Obiang accidentally clash in midfield and the ball runs loose.
Christian Atsu picks up, trots forward and plays a pass to Joselu on the left. The Spaniard returns the ball to Atsu who fires in at the near post.
What a turnaround for the Magpies!
What a wasted chance for West Ham.
Will Newcastle record their first win since the Mesozoic era?
Andy Carroll is on for the Hammers.
Andre Ayew steps up to take it but his effort is well read by Rob Elliot, who dives to his left to push the low shot away.
Newcastle survive, but was it a pen in the first place?
Michail Antonio is brought down just inside the area (or was it inside?) by a combination of Ciaran Clark and DeAndre Yedlin.
After some deliberation ref Lee Mason says it's a pen.
Nothing came from the corner.
But something came from the second phase.
Ciaran Clark dinks the ball wide to Christian Atsu on the left.
The Ghana midfielder drifts inside into the area and delivers a pinpoint ball for Mo Diame to fire in high past Adrian.
Now it's a corner for Newcastle.
Marko Arnautovic is inches away from scoring both his and West Ham's second.
The Austrian cuts in from the right, tiptoes along the edge of the area before firing a low drive that drifts dust-widths wide of Rob Elliot's far post.
Arthur Masuaku tries to craft something on the left but his cross is cut out.
Newcastle break and venture into the Hammers box - the home side clear but they are under siege again.
Back under way.
The teams are back out.
The bubbles are blowing again.
That song is being sung again.
Time for the half-time yule logs.
Newcastle looked good and had three great chances after going behind - but it's only 1-1.
Two minutes minimum.
Reid is back on.
West Ham defender Winston Reid looks in a little bit of pain.
In attempting to get out of the way of team-mate Pablo Zabaleta's clearance he appears to have caught his foot in the turf.
By the way, Newcastle have hit the woodwork seven times in the league this season.
Dwight Gayle's shot sails miles over when he really should have hit the target.
Yet again Newcastle exploit the lack of cover down the right as DeAndre Yedlin finds Matt Ritchie.
The Scot's low cross finds the forward who strikes his shot a good four feet over the bar and wide.
Newcastle have had a hatful of chances in this match - will they rue those misses.
The Magpies hit the woodwork again!
This time Dwight Gayle - whose shot earlier hit the bar - finds Matt Ritchie, whose curling effort comes off Adrian's far post.
At the other end, Michail Antonio has another header - this time it's a glorious chance from eight yards which he sends horribly wide.
Newcastle win a corner after Matt Ritchie's free-kick results in DeAndre Yedlin's shot being deflected behind.
Nothing comes from the Magpies' first corner of the match and all is calm again.
Arthur Masuaku's low shot from 25 yards bounces just in front of Rob Elliot who parries the ball, but Newcastle manage to clear before Pablo Zabaleta can pounce.
We've seen a fair bit of goalmouth action already at London Stadium.
Michail Antonio heads over another free-kick delivered, this time, to the far left of the area - if he scored from that position he'd win goal of the decade.
Aaron Cresswell's delivery is headed over by Michail Antonio, who returned to today's line-up.
It could very well be 4-4 here.
West Ham win a corner and raise a roar from the home crowd....
Newcastle are on the attack again down that right - seems like Hammers boss David Moyes has asked his players to load up on that side to cope with the danger
DeAndre Yedlin attempts another low cross but it's cut out and eventually goes out for a goalkick - it looked like that should have been a corner.
Newcastle forward Joselu gets a knock to the head, but he seems OK to continue.
That was nearly 2-1.. to Newcastle!!
Matt Ritchie finds the overlapping DeAndre Yedlin on the left (he's had a few mentions already) and he delivers a low ball which finds Dwight Gayle.
His first-timer from four yards comes off the crossbar!
Newcastle needed that quick response.
Aside from that free-kick, West Ham's defence look comfortable as does Newcastle's with the pacy DeAndre Yedlin making a good tackle to rob the ball from Cheikhou Kouyate.
It's settled down at London Stadium
