Thanks for joining us today. It's gone midnight in Spain - off to bed everyone.
- Real play Casemiro in defence, with three centre-backs out
- Ronaldo still suspended, Asensio starts

It's all over. What a game. Marco Asensio - hero. Karim Benzema - hero.
Valencia have a chance to win it at the end, Simone Zaza breaks into the box but a Real defender stops him just in time.
Real break and Borja Mayoral heads over.
Another huge chance for Karim Benzema, but this one he is unlucky with. His header is kept out brilliantly by Neto, who tips the ball onto the post. Excellent play all round.
Four minutes added on.
Valencia come forward with Carlos Soler, he gets it to Simone Zaza but his shot is blocked.
Now Real left-back Marcelo goes down in the box - no penalty. He went down easily.
It's another huge chance missed for Karim Benzema. The ball breaks to Marco Asensio, who goes for his hat-trick. His shot is blocked and lands to Benzema 10 yards out but he fires it wide. His finishing has been shocking tonight.
Valencia bring on Santi Mina for Rodrigo. Just before the goal they replaced Toni Lato with Nacho Gil.
Real Madrid are pushing for a winner now. And they almost have it, Marco Asensio flies down the left and crosses it but Karim Benzema blazes the ball over. He's been poor today. The anti-Asensio if you will.
Zinedine Zidane is going for it, he brings on striker Borja Mayoral for midfielder Toni Kroos after that goal.
With no Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale on the pitch, it's up to someone else to take the free-kick. That someone else is Marco Asensio, who curls the free-kick into the bottom corner. Real Madrid's hero.
It's that man again.
Marco Asensio has a shot - similar range to his goal - but this time it's blocked.
But Real have a free-kick now as Rodrigo fouls Mateo Kovacic. Yellow card.
Valencia come forward again but Simone Zaza's ambitious cross-field pass is cut out.
Suddenly Real Madrid are behind and it's a debut goal from Geoffrey Kondogbia. Rodrigo pulls the ball back to the Inter Milan loanee, who guides the ball past Keylor Navas from the edge of the penalty area.
A stunned silence at the Bernabeu.
Valencia make a change at right-back as Nacho Vidal (do not make the mistake I just did of googling him) replaces Martin Montoya
Keylor Navas sprays the ball out to Karim Benzema on the left but he can't get a good cross in.
Now Real make a change. Gareth Bale is replaced by Lucas Vazquez.
An excellent free-kick from Daniel Parejo, his curling effort from 25 yards tipped around the post by a diving Keylor Navas.
Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal goes into the book for a foul. Marcelo is the only Real defender not on a yellow card tonight.
Simone Zaza, showing some of his West Ham form from last season, heads well over the bar from Carlos Soler's cross. Poor.
Good defending by Casemiro to deny Rodrigo a chance to shoot - or cross to Simone Zaza who was free in the centre. The game is starting to open up a bit. Only 20 minutes to go.
Real go forward and the other end and Dani Carvajal's cross is held by Neto.
Almost the breakthrough. Well the second breakthrough. Luka Modric has a good crack from 20 yards and a diving Neto tips it around the post.
Marcelo whips in yet another great cross for Real Madrid and Gareth Bale heads the ball off the ground and it bounces wide. You'd have expected the Wales star to hit the target there.
Valencia captain Daniel Parejo is booked for a studs-up challenge on Toni Kroos.
The free-kick makes it way to Geoffrey Kondogbia, who heads over. The referee appears to award a free out, so it wouldn't have counted anyway.
Valencia break immediately from that free-kick and Casemiro is booked for a diving lunge on Carlos Soler. The Brazilian goes down clutching his face but I'm not sure anything touched his head. Hmmm....
Real Madrid are having a good spell, Carlos Soler brings down Toni Kroos on the left wing. But the free-kick is cleared.
Casemiro - not a centre-back. As he tries to deal with a bouncing ball, it hits off his hand - although accidental so no handball - and then he passes it back to nobody. It's going out for a corner, until Nacho helps him out and keeps it in.
Marco Asensio's 50% scoring record from shots this season is over as he hits a poor shot wide.
Luka Modric sneaks in behind the back, chests the ball down and volleys a shot about 200 yards over the bar.
John McEnerney: RM have Plan CR7 & Plan Sin (without) CR7, both are good enough - with the quality they've got to get results which they usually do
Marcelo - the world's best left-back? - crosses and Karim Benzema sticks a leg out but pokes it wide. It's not been a great performance so far from the Real Madrid striker.
Now Real have a yellow as Nacho catches Simone Zaza with an arm in the back.
Marcelo is furious with himself. He crosses from the left but it's cut out - had he got it right Marco Asensio would have had a shot from six yards out. The Spaniard hops with frustration in the centre, and the Brazilian looks annoyed too.
Makeshift Real Madrid defender Casemiro has a shot from 25 yards and his save is tipped around the post by Neto.
Simone Zaza almost skips into Real Madrid's box but Casemiro does well to tackle him.
We have a first booking now as Valencia's Martin Montoya fells Marcelo.
Marco Asensio has scored with three of his six shots this season in all competitions. By contrast, Lionel Messi has taken 30 to score the same amount.
Real Madrid start the half on the attack. But a couple of early moves are thwarted.
We are under way in the second half.
Well now, Zinedine Zidane makes a change for Real Madrid at the break. Mateo Kovacic replaces Isco in midfield. Real struggled a bit without their usual midfield enforcer Casemiro, who is playing at centre-back.
