It has been brilliant. The FA People's Cup 2017 started with record-breaking numbers and finishes with the winners crowned in all 16 categories.

A huge congrats to everyone who has taken part right from day one back in February through to today.

There have been so many great moments and performances but most importantly it looks like everyone has had great fun throughout.

Thank you to everyone who has got involved and sent messages in during the competition - it wouldn't be the same without you.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Adult Female final

The last final of the came around so quickly, don't you think!?

It might be late in the day, but for the ladies from Plymouth and Norton and Stockton Ancients, their spotlight moment was still to come.

Plymouth opened the scoring with some good pressing but Norton were quick on their heels to equalise.

The remainder of the game was tense (we were on the edge of our seats here!), but in the end, it was Plymouth who stole the victory after a deflected shot won it.

Excellent sportsmanship, even better goals! Well done ladies!

Watch the highlights here.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Disability Premiership final

The last final of the disability categories was a blinder!

The Premiership finalists, Exeter City and South Tyneside Ability DFC were defintely up for the challenge; but it was Exeter who took an early lead with a bullet of a shot.

The rest of the game saw a sublime long-range left-footed strike and a counter attack that any Premier League club would be proud of.

Tyneside did get one back, but it was too late for them, and Exeter secured a 4-1 victory.

Female Vets final

Earlier on Hackney Jurassics defended their 2016 People's Cup title with a 2-0 victory over fellow veterans, Armley FC.

It was a cagey first half with both teams struggling to hold the ball- but it was Hackney who forced their way through to open the scoring.

With this being the last final, there is a healthy crowd watching the game. Still even though. The last final of the day won't go to penalties, will it?

As all that Adult Male final was going on, the Adult Female semi-finals were being played.

'What happened?' I hear you ask. Well...

That was a great match. Plenty of skill on show. The victorious Woolpack are currently being interviewed on the pitch by BBC presenter Nick Bright. You'll be able to see that interview in our People's Cup highlights show on 27 May in the build-up to the FA Cup final.

Woolpack might miss it, however. Like all of our winners. They'll be at that final and will lift their trophy at half-time.

Full-time - Woolpack win

KO5 1-2 Woolpack United

Victory for Woolpack in the Adult Male final!

The outfield players embrace on the pitch. I think you need to go and hug your 'keeper lads, he was brilliant.

GREAT SAVE!

KO5 1-2 Woolpack United

Yet another brilliant save from the Woolpack goalkeeper. He gets a pat on the back from a teammate. If they win this, he has played a HUGE part.

GREAT SAVE!

KO5 1-2 Woolpack United

Into the closing stages. Woolpack have a chance to settle it but the shot is saved by KO5's goalkeeper's legs.

'Use your head!'

GREAT SAVE!

KO5 1-2 Woolpack United

Woolpack look good going forward but they also have an excellent goalkeeper. He has just kept them ahead with a diving stop to keep out a powerful drive from KO5.

GOAL - Woolpack restore lead

KO5 1-2 Woolpack United

Tidy stuff this. One attacker was trapped against the sideboards but fashioned a backheel to the edge of the area for a teammate to thump into the net. 2-1 about five minutes into this 10 minute match.

GOAL - KO5 level

KO5 1-1 Woolpack United

It doesn't harm their shooting though. KO5 get a deserved equaliser, unleashing a powerful shot from distance.

KO5 0-1 Woolpack United

KO5 are keeping calm, not unsettled by that early goal and still trying to get into their passing rhythm The majority of the team are wearing some very tight bottoms.
