Goodbye

What an afternoon's Scottish Premiership football. Celtic mounted a second-half fightback to win a seven-goal thriller against Motherwell at Fir Park and Rangers got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win at home to Aberdeen.

The wait goes on for the Dons, who have been unable to win at Ibrox since 1991.

Kilmarnock and St Johnstone recorded victories while draws at New Douglas Park and Dingwall brought a thrilling day to a close.

Thanks for your company this afternoon. We'll have highlights of all today's games on our website tomorrow from 6pm. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hearts' caretaker boss Jon Daly

Ross County 2-2 Hearts

"It was an entertaining game and the boys showed a lot of character. One nil down at half-time up in Dingwall, is always tough, but as they have all season they've shown great character.

"From a neutral's point of view watching it, it was a really entertaining game."

Ross County boss Jim McIntyre

Ross County 2-2 Hearts

"We're disappointed that we've not managed to capitalise once we've gone 1-0 ahead. We had a couple of great opportunities to extend our lead.

"Like any good team, Hearts have come back and are very strong with their set plays. They've caused us problems but, equally, we've got to do a bit better.

"But we've shown great spirit and it's a crucial save from Foxy for the penalty. You think at that stage that it's going to be one of those days again. I'm delighted for the players."

St Johnstone 3-0 Inverness CT

Inverness CT boss Richie Foran

"We got what we deserved. We've gone from one of our best performances against Dundee, although we were beaten, to probably one of our worst performances of the season.

"It's very disappointing; talk about being inconsistent - that sums us up. Do your talking on the park. We didn't do that today."

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright

St Johnstone 3-0 Inverness CT

"We started the game well and we emphasised the importance of that. They've had a two-week break since a poor result and performance against Ross County. We started the game on the front foot, had a couple of opportunities and then got the goal.

"We dropped off a bit after getting the second and third goals. We probably could've scored more goals when they went down to 10 men but I'm pleased with three points and a clean sheet."

Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald

Hamilton 1-1 Partick Thistle

"There wasn't a lot in the first half but we got a good reaction in the second half and took the game to Hamilton, which is hard to do here.

"We deservedly got back into the game and I thought we could have taken all three points."

On Chris Erskine's chalked off goal... "We thought at the time he [Erskine] was onside and we watched the footage back and he was onside.

"It's a very poor decision by the linesman; it's very disappointing because that's what they're paid to do. We've come away with one point instead of three because of it.

"We should be sitting here with three points but we'll use it to get the boys together."

Hamilton Accies boss Martin Canning

Hamilton 1-1 Partick Thistle

"On the balance of play I think a point [apiece] was probably a fair result. I don't think either team did enough to win it. But, for ourselves again, it's a time when we've put ourselves in a winning position and not taken three points.

"But as I've said to the boys, you can't think that every time you go ahead in a game you should win it. I think you've got to go and earn the right to win it."

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers

Motherwell 3-4 Celtic

"I think that [Mark McGhee's criticism] is very unfair, especially as he comes up into our warm-up before the game to ask our players to warm up in a different area. He shouldn't be doing that.

"I don't think that is very befitting of an assistant manager of a national team and manager of Motherwell. My staff are exemplary in their behaviour. We know what we are representing.

"We have integrity. I said congratulations to the groundsman here before the game because the pitch is very good. But why can't we do our warm-up here at Motherwell?

"The one we have done in every stadium in the world we have been to so far this season? So I don't know what the issue was there and maybe that's where it sparked from.

"But that isn't the story of the game. The story is that my team were brilliant in the second half."

Motherwell boss Mark McGhee

Motherwell 3-4 Celtic

"Brendan [Rodgers] was as good as gold, dignified in victory and dignified in defeat.

"There are no problems with Brendan. Some of the other staff are not really Celtic-quality in terms of their behaviour.

"I don't know his name actually [Chris Davies] - you have told me his name. He wasn't shaking hands with me. He seemed for some reason to be angry that they won. Explain that to me?"

CLOSE! Rangers 2-0 Aberdeen

It's not happening for the Dons this afternoon. Johnny Hayes has acres of space inside the Rangers penalty area but panics before ballooning his shot over the bar.

GOAL Ross County 2-2 Hearts (Boyce)

Liam Boyce holds his nerve to smash the ball home from the spot.

PENALTY FOR ROSS COUNTY

It looks rather harsh, but a Liam Boyce header strikes the outstretched hand of a defender and the ref is pointing to the spot...

A first penalty of the season for the Staggies and it's come at a very handy time.

GOAL St Johnstone 3-0 Inverness CT (Swanson)

Tommy Wright's men are cruising against 10-man Inverness CT and Danny Swanson nabs a third goal for the rampant Saints as they light up Perth again.

Ross County 1-2 Hearts

The Fox in the box: County keeper Scott Fox what are you doing? The keeper tries to dribble inside his box with near disastrous consequencs...

However, towering striker Bjorn Johnsen fluffs his lines as he sends his shot wide with the goal at his mercy.

Fox, emboldened perhaps by that howler of a miss, then roars at his defenders. Not sure why...

Kilmarnock 2-0 Dundee

John Barnes

BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

The Killie fans began shouting "We want Johnston out" again after 69 minutes and within seconds Souleymane Coulibaly scored their second goal. They want to do this on a more regular basis if that's the result...

DISALLOWED GOAL

Hamilton 1-1 Partick Thistle

An offside flag cuts short Callum Booth's celebrations after he nets for Thistle.

GREAT SAVE!

Ross County 1-2 Hearts

Staggies striker Liam Boyce has to score as he rises highest to meet a Michael Gardyne cross but his header from six yards is pushed over the crossbar by a stretching Jack Hamilton.

GOAL Kilmarnock 2-0 Dundee (Coulibaly)

Souleymane Coulibaly thunders Kilmarnock two goals ahead. He picks up the ball in from the left and side-foots it high beyond Scott Bain. It looks very much like the three points are staying in Ayrshire.

GOAL Ross County 1-2 Hearts (Paterson)

What a turnaround! More calamitous defending from the hosts and Callum Paterson takes full advantage as he slides in powerfully to ram the ball in from six yards.

GOAL St Johnstone 2-0 Inverness CT (Davidson)

Things go from bad to worse for Inverness Caley Thistle. After Warren's dismissal, Murray Davidson latches onto the free-kick, and fires the ball low beyond Dean Brill. That may well be that.
