Join me again on Sunday when GB's Kyle Edmund takes on Dusan Lajovic - victory for the 21-year-old would seal a 3-1 win for captain Leon Smith's team.

And the final rubber sees James Ward take on Janko Tipsarevic - both players were soundly beaten in their opening singles.

Thanks for the #bbctennis messages. Until tomorrow.

'They are absolute legends'

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-6 Inglot/Murray

Dom Inglot on BBC Two: "It is great to feel like I have finally put a rubber in for the team.

"Serving out was a little nerve wracking but with Jamie at net you know he will help you out, he deserves a lot of credit.

"They (the crowd) make it a great experience for us and keeping it neutral in away venue. They are absolute legends."

Dom Inglot celebrates with Andy Murray

'Great win for Dom'

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-6 Inglot/Murray

GB captain Leon Smith on BBC Two: "It's great for Dom to have his first Davis Cup victory. Jamie is really experienced now and it's great that we can rely on him to come out and do what he does.

"Dom has a big weapon with his serve and it's great to have that, especially at the end there."

'The crowd were doing their bit'

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-6 Inglot/Murray

Jamie Murray on BBC Two: "They felt a bit aggrieved to let Dom have another first serve at the end there but the crowd was doing their bit to try to turn it around for their team.

"It was unfortunate we lost the second set but we kept getting the ball back on return and then the breaks of serves helped us.

"We're really happy to have that win going into Sunday."

Dom Inglot & Jamie Murray shake hands after winning their doubles match

'It looked like a regulation doubles win'

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-6 Inglot/Murray

John Lloyd

Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC One

They just started to combine well. Inglot wasn’t returning that well but they came together when it mattered. They didn’t play great, it wasn’t spectacular but they got the job done.

It looked like a regulation doubles win. They should have been up 2-0 and it was getting a bit dodgy and I was getting a bit nervous. The class came through at the end and that is what good pairs do.

Umpire Pascal Maria told the Serbian support, gave them a warning and the crowd whistled in the middle of the ball toss. I think the umpire is absolutely right to do that.

This is what Davis Cup can be like. A fantastic atmosphere, Serbia have it all to do, but they are still in with a chance.

Game, set and match

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-6 Inglot/Murray

Inglot's first serve is too strong for Zimonjic as GB make it 15-0.

15-15, then 30-15, then 30-30, it's now break point for the Serbs.

A huge serve from Inglot brings it to deuce. It's advantage after Murray powers a volley into the turf.

Match point....

The first serve is out and then Krajinovic plays the most accurate of accurate top-spin lobs that lands on the baseline.

But then umpire Pascal Maria plays a let at a crucial moment after repeated noise from a crowd - it means that Inglot's second serve becomes a first serve.

Inglot makes the most of his next two opportunities and wins the match for GB.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 4-5 Inglot/Murray*

Murray puts Serbia under pressure with a casual swipe of a shot at the net for 30-40.

Krajinovic then double faults to take the game to deuce - the 24-year-old digs himself out of a hole with two good 'digging out' serves.

Inglot to serve to try to win the match for GB.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 3-5 Inglot/Murray

Filip Krajinovic smashes his racquet (racket) down in frustration after failing to make the most of a good opportunity at 0-15.

With the scores at 40-30, Murray has a secret tactics chat behind his 'three-ball hand' with Inglot before a second serve that outfoxes Zimonjic.

Will GB now break and win the match?

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 3-4 Inglot/Murray*

Are the bones creaking in 40-year-old Nenad Zimonjic.

He crouches down to pick up a volley but fails. Zimonjic then gets away with a poor second serve which Murray overhits.

But two good serves at deuce from the veteran two-time Wimbledon doubles champion wins the game for Serbia.

More quick drinks, and leg massage for old "Zimmers" Zimonjic.

The GB fans starts singing "Murray and Inglot" referring to... Murray and Inglot.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 2-3 Inglot/Murray*

Krajinovic is the Jamie Murray of his pairing with his careful placement of serves.

A backhand volley at the net from the world number 86 singles player sees the Serbs hold.

They need to break soon though. The doubles partners have a quick sit down and swig of liquids.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 1-3 Inglot/Murray

Inglot is like an ingot at the net - does that make sense?

What I mean is that he looks confident at the net with Murray serving. Yet again, Murray is relatively untroubled in his service game.

It's 3-1 to the Brits now. The end is in sight.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 1-2 Inglot/Murray*

Murray is now playing like a demon at the net - he makes it 30-30 by stabbing a volley down the middle.

The Serbs hold though after good dominant play at the net.

Cue the Serbian musak. It sounds like something from the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 0-2 Inglot/Murray*

Another cracking service game from Murray - winning to love. Fist pumps, back slaps, "here we go" once again piping out of the throats of Stirling Uni and the rest of the #BackTheBrits contingent.

Have they got Jerusalem on tape?

GB break

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 0-1 Inglot/Murray*

I wonder if they'll recreate a scene from Gladiator out on the court later...

Anyway, carpe diem GB boys, carpe diem.

They've 'carpe diemmed' this match by the net cords with a lovely Inglot forehand down the tramlines to break in this first game of the third set.

It was strange set really.

It was in the Brits hands but they weren't playing the big points well.

What an edgy set. It is now so even.

That was a big, big set for the Brits to win.

What a way to finish it.

What a response to that second set tie-break.

Game and third set

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-6 Inglot/Murray

Inglot does a bit of a "Rusedski" and wins his service game to love with a picture perfect kicker serve.

GB need one more set for a 2-1 advantage in the tie.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-5 Inglot/Murray*

It's not been a great doubles tennis match so far - attritional at times.

GB have a 0-30 lead and then move to 15-40 with a Murray punched volley. Two break points for GB.

'Gramps' Zimonjic produces a blinding crosscourt pick-up shot at the net before smashing another mid-court.

Serbia save another two before the rake comes out again - it's rake and stamp, rake and stamp.

GB have another break point... can they convert it this time? Yesssssss - double fault by Zimonjic.

GB will serve for a 2-1 lead.

The British pair are not playing their best they're hanging in.

You feel if they do play their best they could win this match quite comfortably.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-4 Inglot/Murray

Murray just produced his best service game.

It was all about placement. The final ball was an effort that swung away from Krajinovic.

Murray is having a word with the umpire - about what, I'm not too sure.

I think Jamie Murray is struggling to see the ball at that end.

It is a bit worrying here because the British team are not taking their chances.

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 3-3 Inglot/Murray*

Bit of a volley king is ol' gramps Zimonjic - he bails out partner Krajinovic after the pair were 0-30 down.

GB then have break point but Krajinovic saves with a good serve. Another decent angled serve from Krajinovic sees the Serbs hold again.

They like living on the edge these two - that's now 10 break points the Brits have had.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 2-3 Inglot/Murray

John Lloyd

Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC One

Zimonjic is doing all the tactical talk to his partner.

You just want the British pair to combine a little better as a unit on the returns.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 2-3 Inglot/Murray

Dom Inglot serves his first double fault of the match but redeems himself with a deep first serve which sees GB move into a 3-2 lead.

It's still going on serve. Who will break first?

The musak pumps out of the speakers in the arena. Beautiful.

*Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 1-2 Inglot/Murray

Chants of the retro "here we go" echo around the arena which looks like it was discovered after an archaelogical dig.

Murray's serving has been a mixed bag today. A weak serve is dismissed brilliantly by Krajinovic's forehand to take the game to deuce.

A Krajinovic backhand brings up break point, but GB save. Nenad 'Paul Hollywood' Zimonjic tries to gee up the crowd. This is as exciting as a Bake Off final.

It works, but GB hold when Murray swats away at the net.

Masterful second set tiebreak from Serbia - winning it 7-2, and levelling the doubles at one set all. Noise building at the Tash Stadium

Krajinovic/Zimonjic 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 1-1 Inglot/Murray*

Krajinovic produces one of the shots of the match with a lovely top spin lob from the back of the net.

Good play from Krajinovic coming into the net ends with Inglot stretching and finding the post with his return.
