Stoner right to retire - Crutchlow

Cal Crutchlow believes Casey Stoner's decision to retire from MotoGP at the end of the season is "very credible" but "disappointing for the championship" as he reckons Stoner is the "fastest guy in the world over a lap".

The Tech 3 Yamaha rider states if Stoner is "not loving it any more then he is right to stop", and agreeing with the Australian's criticisms of the championship, believing "CRT bikes on a MotoGP grid shouldn't happen".

Crutchlow reveals he is aiming to secure a factory ride for 2013, and admits he has had "some contact" with other teams, with Stoner's departure from the sport opening up a vacancy at Honda's factory outfit.
