King's Lynn Stars team manager Rob Lyon believes supporters are already enjoying the benefits of their side's promotion to the Elite League.

The Stars secured a 48-42 win over Belle Vue on Thursday in their first top flight home meeting for nine years.

"You need a new challenge in life and we've certainly got that," Lyon told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"So far the action that's been served up has been pretty good and people have gone home happy."

Swindon Robins make the trip to the Norfolk Arena on Wednesday, with Lyon hoping for a comfortable home victory.

"They've obviously got Scott Nicholls and Simon Stead at the top end of their team," he said.

"Luckily they seem to have sorted the problems out with their Polish riders, hopefully they'll bring a full squad and we should be in for a good match again.

"They've got some good youngsters, the reserves will be quite lively I'm sure.

"The main objective will be to win and to win by more than six."
