Poole Pirates beat Swindon Robins 55-41 at Wimborne Road on Wednesday to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Knockout Cup.

The holders were defending a 34-point lead going into the second leg and Chris Holder helped them seal the win by scoring a maximum 15 points.

Holder said: "It's good to get a full house and I thank Darcy Ward for easing up and letting me through.

"It was pretty cool and yes it's nice to have another full maximum."

Poole will face either Eastborne or Wolverhampton in the penultimate round of the KO Cup, which takes place in September.
