Glenn Irwin had a fourth-place finish in the second race in Sunday's British Superbikes round at Brands Hatch.

Irwin finished 3.794 seconds behind fellow Ducati rider Shane Byrne, who won both races to extend his lead at the top of the BSB standings.

Irwin also had a strong performance in the first race until he crashed out of sixth place at Graham Hill Bend.

Michael Laverty finished 14th in the first race while Alistair Seeley had 16th and 22nd place finishes.

Toomebridge's Tyco BMW rider remains fourth in the standings despite a disappointing showing in round seven on Sunday, finishing 16.597 seconds behind Byrne in the first race.
