Team Jets have won their opening seven games of the season

Jersey's Team Jets are the only unbeaten side left in South West Regional Division Two, after a closely-fought 47-42 win over Cornwall Saints.

The islanders were seven goals behind at one point during the third quarter, but battled back to make it seven wins in a row.

The result puts Jets four points clear at the top of the table, with Saints in second spot.

They had been the only other unbeaten team before the weekend's fixtures.

Jets coach Linda Andrews said: "It was an amazing game and our toughest so far and we really had to work for everything.

"In the final quarter we just totally stormed it and the defence worked out of their socks.

"It was a great game and we're looking forward to the re-match."
