Lottie Richardson lands Australian netball deal
Cornish netballer Lottie Richardson has been offered a contract with one of Australia's top teams.
The 16-year-old Truro High School for Girls student has been offered a first-team contract with New South Wales champions Manly Warringah.
"It's brilliant out there and I cannot wait to start playing when the season begins," she told BBC Radio Cornwall.
Richardson played in the European Under-17s netball championships for England earlier this year.
But she has dual Australian and British nationality which allows her to play down under.
Her ultimate goal is to play in the ANZ Championship, which is the only professional netball league in the world.
"It's just so much more professional out there and the sport is taken much more seriously.
"I just can't wait to get over there and experience all the great play," Richardson added.
