Jersey beat Guernsey in inter-insular but Team Jets suffer relegation
Jersey beat Guernsey to retain their inter-insular title, but suffered relegation from the second tier of English netball the following day.
Linda Andrews' side defeated Guernsey 45-40 on Saturday, their 12th win in a row over their rivals.
The same players represented Jersey's club side Team Jets on Sunday, but lost 42-24 at Premier Romans to go down.
Speaking after the inter-insular win, coach Andrews said: "The girls drew on all the experience they've gathered."
She told BBC Radio Jersey: "We were absolutely outstanding. I think it was the composure and the self-belief - it's been a long hard season for us."
The Jersey players flew from Guernsey to Bristol to play their second match of the 24-hour period.
Defeat at Romans and victory for fellow strugglers Kent in their final game meant Jets finished bottom and will return to the third tier, having gained promotion in 2015.
