MBE for cricket stalwart Walker in Queen's Honours

Cecil Walker is honoured for his services to cricket

Lisburn cricket adminstrator Cecil Walker has received an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to the sport in Northern Ireland.

Walker has been involved with the Lisburn club for over 65 years and the pavillion at Wallace Park is named after the former captain.

He has also been president of both the Northern and Irish cricket unions.

Jan Dinsdale from Newtownards is awarded the MBE for services to blind golf in Northern Ireland.
