John Brennan was re-appointed as Derry manager for a second year by the county board on Thursday night.

Brennan, who succeeded Damian Cassidy, told county officials before Thursday's meeting that he was willing to remain in charge.

He enjoyed an encouraging first season in the Oak Leaf hotseat, with Derry reaching their first Ulster Championship final for 11 years.

Derry hurling boss Ger Rogan has also been re-appointed for another year.

Brennan's team also lifted the pre-season McKenna Cup and beat Tyrone and Kildare in their Division Two league campaign.
