Hyland lauds Cavan win over Derry

Cavan manager Terry Hyland's praises his team's character in the win over Derry and insists they will give London full respect if the Exiles are their last-12 opposition next week.

"Ulster football sometimes is criticised for being too defensive but I thought there were some great scores kicked by both teams today," said Hyland after his team's 1-22 to 0-20 win over the Oak Leafers after extra-time.

"Even when we went a point down late in normal time, I thought we would get another chance but we have tended to have the final attack in games this year."
