Alan Bonner secures double at Kells road races
Alan Bonner was a double winner at the Kells road races, taking victory in the Open and Grand Final events.
The 31-year-old County Meath rider came home ahead of fellow Republic of Ireland riders Derek McGee and Brian McCormack in the day's feature event.
Bonner saw off McGee in the Open class, with William Dunlop in fifth place.
Dunlop, who missed much of the Isle of Man TT through injury after crashing on a practice lap, took the Supersport 600 honours from Seamus Elliott.
Paul Jordan, Sam Wilson, McGee and John Walsh made up the top six in that race.
Mullingar man McGee, who was Best Newcomer at the recent TT Races tasted victory in the Supertwins, with Connor Behan second and Czech rider Mikael Dokoupil third.
Dokoupil was runner-up to Neil Kernohan in the 250cc class, while Adam McLean triumphed in the Moto3/125cc, with Paul Robinson second.
