Belfast Giants season 'not good enough' says player coach Derrick Walser

Belfast Giants were beaten 3-1 by Nottingham Panthers in the play-offs quarter-final second leg to lose out 7-4 on aggregate.

Nottingham went into the SSE Arena game with a narrow advantage and Andy Bohmback extended their lead at the end of the first period.

Goals from Evan Mosey and Chris Lawrence made it 3-0.

Colin Shields netted a late consolation in what was a disappointing finish to the season for the Giants.

The Panthers will now take on Fife Flyers in the play-offs semi-finals at the National Ice Centre on Saturday.
