Rio Olympics 2016: USA win men's 4x400m relay in final track event
The United States won Olympic 4x400m men's relay gold in the final track event of Rio 2016.
Arman Hall, Tony McQuay, Gil Roberts and Lashawn Merritt triumphed in two minutes 57.30 seconds.
Jamaica won silver in 2:58.16 and the Bahamas, gold medallists at London 2012, took bronze in 2:58.49.
Great Britain did not race in the final after failing in their appeal against disqualification for a handover infringement in Friday's semi-final.
The US, who won silver at London 2012 as well as the 2013 and 2015 world titles, led at the end of each leg to complete a 4x400m relay double after the women's team won their sixth consecutive Olympic title moments earlier.
