BBC Sport - Rio 2016: Belfast man Patrick Huston will be first GB competitor in Games action

Huston to start GB's Olympic challenge

Belfast archer Patrick Huston says it will be "pretty cool" to be the first British competitor in action at the Olympic Games in Rio on Friday.

Huston, 20, will be involved in the qualifying round at the Sambadrome on Friday before the opening ceremony gets underway at the Maracana Stadium later in the day.

The former Campbell College student hopes a strong qualifying performance can boost his chances of an extended run in the competition, which will resume on Monday.

Huston is currently 38th in the world rankings but believes he can challenge for a medal in Rio.
