Alan Campbell wins singles sculls at Great Britain trials

Alan Campbell has won the men's single sculls at the Great Britain trials for an eighth straight year.

The Coleraine rower won by a comfortable four lengths in the final at Eton Dorney on Sunday.

Fellow Coleraine man Peter Chambers was second in the lightweight men's singles, boosting his hopes of making the Olympic lightweight four team.

The Great Britain team for the London Olympics is sceduled to be announced on 6 June.

Peter's elder brother Richard missed the trials because of injury.

The GB squad for this year's first World Cup event in Belgrade will be named on 4 April.
