Bradford Bulls have signed five new players as they prepare for life in the Championship next season.

Jay Pitts, signed from Hull FC, Samir Tahraoui, from Whitehaven, Lucas Walshaw, from Wakefield, and Paul Clough, from St Helens, have all signed two-year contracts.

Jean Philippe-Baile, who arrives from Catalan, has agreed a one-year deal.

Bulls head coach James Lowes worked with Pitts at Leeds and said: "I am really pleased to have secured him."

Lowes added: "He is a young player who is already performing at a high standard and has impressed throughout the course of this season.

"I am really looking forward to working with Samir. He is an absolutely massive player and I am sure he will prove explosive next season.

"Lucas will offer us versatility along with bags of potential, Paul is another fantastic signing and will be a real leader for us in the pack and Jean represents a brilliant capture for the club. He is a great player with a really aggressive attitude towards the game."

Lowes has also appointed former Featherstone Rovers boss John Bastian as Bradford's new head of youth and retiring captain Matt Diskin will take over as Under-19s head coach.

England strength and conditioning coach Gary Dempsey has been given the same role with the Bulls.
