Gateshead Thunder have signed Papua New Guinea internationals Mark Mexico, Gary Lo, Charlie Wabo and Jason Tali.

Prop Mexico, 25, joins the Championship One club from NRL side Cronulla Sharks, while winger Lo and 27-year-old centre Tali arrive from PNG Hunters.

Hooker Wabo, 29, who leaves Mendi Murks, has also played for Hunslet.

"I know from my own playing days just how much talent we have back home and we want to give them the chance to develop here," said coach Stanley Gene.

"They are strong, fast and powerful players who will make a big impact on the league. We've done well to sign them and I'm looking forward to working with them all next season."
