Steve Michaels to remain at Hull FC in 2016 after one-year deal
Australian outside back Steve Michaels has signed a new one-year deal with Lee Radford's Hull FC.
Michaels, 27, joined the Airlie Birds from Gold Coast Titans and has scored six tries in 23 appearances.
He began his career at Brisbane, for whom he scored 22 tries in 59 games before joining the Titans, where he scored 24 in 60 matches.
However, centre Setaimata Sa and full-back Jordan Rankin will leave the club at the end of the season.
Sa, 27, joined Hull following a stint with London Irish while Rankin, 23, was a former Titans team-mate of Michaels preceding his move.
Radford is keen to see full-back Jamie Shaul take more opportunities in Rankin's absence, and the signing of Carlos Tuimavave and Michaels extension will limit Sa's chances.
"Steve's been a great addition to the squad," said Radford.
"He was a bit of an unknown quantity to some when we announced his signing last year but he's really started to shine and show us his true credentials."
