The disciplinary action against Chase comes a day after the Red Devils confirmed that head coach Iestyn Harris had left the club by mutual agreement.

Salford are currently fifth in The Qualifiers but are one of four teams tied on four points after the first three rounds of games, needing to finish in the top three to guarantee a place in Super League for next season.

New Zealand-born Chase was named Super League's Man of Steel in 2011 after starring for Castleford, earning his first call up by England the same day after qualifying on residential grounds.

Chase, who joined Salford from Cas shortly before the 2013 World Cup, was banned for seven matches earlier this season after being found guilty of a dangerous throw on Huddersfield's Brett Ferres.
