Salford Red Devils winger Daniel Vidot could miss up to three months of the new season because of injury.

Vidot joined the Super League side this winter on a two-year contract from Brisbane Broncos, but damaged a shoulder in pre-season training.

The Samoa international has undergone surgery and the Red Devils expect him to be out for two to three months.

Meanwhile, owner Marwan Koukash has taken on the chief executive role after Martin Vickers' exit.
