Johnson handed decision deadline

RFU acting chief executive Martyn Thomas says Martin Johnson has been given "seven to 14 days" to confirm he wants to continue as England team manager.

Thomas describes England's "off-the-field performances" during the World Cup in New Zealand as "unacceptable" and says he feels Johnson was badly let down by the behaviour of some of his players.

England were knocked out of the tournament following a quarter-final defeat by France and their campaign was also blighted by a series of disciplinary incidents.
