Redruth criticised after 66-7 loss at Richmond

Redruth director of rugby Dave Penberthy has criticised his side after they were thrashed 66-7 by Richmond in National Two South.

Richmond ran in ten tries as they stayed top of the table with a perfect record of eight bonus point wins.

"There's a number of players that need to take a long hard look at themselves and question their performances," Penberthy told BBC Radio Cornwall.

The defeat leaves Redruth sixth in National Two South.

"No matter how hard we tried, at half-time and even before the game I didn't feel that it was right," Penberthy said.

"It has been a very tough week for all of us at the club and we take praise collectively and we've got to take this defeat collectively," he added.
